Very clean room. I had a comfortable stay.

Posted 15-Jul-2014
Pros: Very clean room and bathroom.
Cons: Free wi-fi should be given considering the high rates of rooms. Other hotels with lower rates give free wi-fi.
Location: Location is near the shopping Mall, near the train station, near grocery, near plenty of restaurants. The hotel location is perfect.
Aside from excellent room condition, the staff of Double Tree were very helpful and friendly. I enjoyed my stay.

Hotel need to work on their parking signs.

Posted 01-Jul-2014
They have misleading parking signs. Which makes customer a little in thinking mode and could end up walking down the stairs as the apartment next to the hotel has the same parking space and there is kind of a shared elevator

lovely hotel with good city views

Posted 24-Jun-2014
Pros: situation and room
Cons: food in restaurant wasn't good,
stayed with my mum and 2 sisters for 4 nights in a suite, wonderful room and great value for money. Nice to escape the madness of Manhattan but still only a ferry ride or PATH train ride away.

Affordable hotel close to New York.

Posted 10-Jun-2014
Pros: It was reasonably priced, closed to the Path train & New York, and the staff was very friendly & gave helpful information and suggestions.
Cons: The rooms could be updated a little.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. They gave me detailed instructions of where I should take the Path train and where to get off. They also provided me with several restaurants and clubs to go to.

Wonderful hotel, staff and location

Posted 02-Jun-2014
We stayed for 4 nights and had a wonderful stay. Our room was clean, the staff was friendly and provided extra towels and toiletries. The view of our room was absolute perfection. The PATH train station is 2 blocks away with easy access into Manhattan and other areas of jersey. My only complaint is that self parking is expensive ($25 per night). Other than that, we will absolutely stay here again when we visit the city.

Expected More

I stayed here this past weekend, booked a premier suite. The pros of this hotel are: it was pretty clean, it was near a lot of restaurants, the check out process was a lot easier & the gentlemen who helped us with the check-out was amazing (wish all employees were like him, I didn't get his name). Cons: the woman who checked me in has horrible customer service skills, parking is horrible & expensive, beds were small (surprising to me since it was a SUITE), our view from the room sucked (we just saw the roof of the hotel). Probably won't be back again.

Great location!

Easy to get to! Desk staff nice and willing to help find places to eat around the area! Provided a great map to the PATH and directions on how to get where we wanted to go in the city! About a 3 minute walk to the PATH and felt very safe!

Family Trip

The Double Tree Hotel is an awesome hotel. The front desk was outstanding. We asked a lot of questions and they had an answer for everything. One employee gave us his business card and said to call with questions while on our tour of New York. The hotel is conveniently located 1 block from a grocery store and mall and the Path is 2-3 blocks away. The only thing I would improve was the comfort of the sofa bed and the tile in the bathtub could have been cleaner. We will definitely stay there again if ever in New Jersey/New York.

Good Hotel, Great Staff

Posted 28-Apr-2014
Pros: Comfortable rooms and great staff
Cons: Bathrooms could use more ventilation
Location: Easy access to NYC and Hoboken
We stayed one night for a girl's night in Hoboken/Jersey City. Hotel is a standard extended stay, rooms are very clean and comfortable, in a convenient location to get all around the area. The staff members are all exceptional! Every person went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and accommodate our group's needs.

Nice hotel just outside NYC.

Posted 13-Apr-2014
Pros: Location, staff, cleanliness.
Cons: Parking could be included. The nightly rate was reasonable for a suite type room.
Location: Close to Hoboken, the Newport PATH station to access NYC.
The hotel was in a great location. A few minute walk to the Newport PATH station that took us into NYC in a matter of minutes. Also, it was easy to access Hoboken from the hotel as well. The staff was very friendly, and helpful when needed. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. It was great hotel to travel with my 10 month old as well.
