“Because the Hotel have Renewing his room (it's bad experience)”
i'm suggesting you to call the hotel before you made a reservation ,to be sure they already finished their renewed or not ,otherwise you get crazy from the noisy and you will not have a nice dream .
“4-Night Biz Trip in The Westin Jeddah Hotel”
I went to Jeddah for 4 days on a business trip. I booked a room at the Westin Jeddah as it was in the northern part of the city making it convenient for me. I was upgraded to a junior sweet for free in the Executive Floor (9th). The room was fairly clean and very spacious. I had a partial sea view, but the TV was old (not flat screen) and I couldn't find the Remote Control. The Hotel is going through some renovation that I can hear from my room during the day, but not that disturbing. On leaving, the receptionist filled an online form for me to join their club (spg) to earn the points for my stay. That was nice of him. I do recommend this hotel as it was reasonably priced, considering that it is right on the courniche where you can enjoy a lovely sunset on the little pier there. By the way, it is 10 min. drive from the Red Sea Mall, which is fine luxury mall.
“Old & Dirty Carpets, Not Worth the Price At All”
I was really excited to stay at this hotel because of the reputation of The Westin in the US and the location. The location was GREAT! However, I was hugely dissappointed when I arrived. 1) Once I walked into my room I was met by severely stained carpet throughout with a huge stain in front of the tv. As a result, I asked the reception to assign me a different room. Unfortunately they acted as if the badly stained carpet wasn't a cause for much concern. After telling me they didn't have ANY seaview rooms available until after 4 hours, they called back after about 20min with a different answer. The 2nd room didn't have the huge stain but rest of the carpet wasn't ANY better. 2)I didn't know hotels had tvs this old anymore, let alone that they still worked! 3)The bathroom was clean but in bad repair. There must have been water damage so they decided just to take the siding of the door off at the bottom left. Not a nice sight! 4)The bathtub was badly clogged. Every time I took a shower the water reached the middle of my calves. Quite frankly the most appalling thing for me was the state of the carpets! I have NEVER stayed in a hotel with carpets in such a state. When you factor in the price, it's unacceptable!! Also, they are renovating the building and adding on a new one. So, if you wanted to take pictures of where you stayed you're better off getting some pics offline! With that being said, I wouldn't recommend staying at this hotel. Atleast until the new hotel is finished.
