“great place, but needs to work on staff training”

The hotel is beautiful, and has great views over the sea. The staff is super nice, and they even upgraded my friend and i to the Royal suite, which was fantastic. Service was impeccable, lobby, etc... the only thing that surprised me was the lackluster daily cleaning. The cleaning staff gave me a red rose in the bathroom, but didn't give it water, so it died immediately, and then they didn't throw it out for three days. Dirty dishes went unwashed in the kitchen, and a dirty plate and glass i left on my desk did not get picked up either. I've stayed in some real dumps in the past, so none of this bothers me in the least. And i'm certainly capable of washing my own dishes. But it's sad to see such a nice place taken down a notch just because there isn't any oversight for the cleaning staff.
