Stayed only for one night for a 2 queen size bedroom suite . It’s a good location but something needs to update , the elevator seems to be run down and old as it s making sounds and feel scary . As we enter the room something was off with the smell of the room not sure if it’s because the place was old or the rustic smell or the carpet. The nespressp needs to be clean we need to run down water to use it but end up not using it at all ( not sure if it’s clean) we just use the glass hot water equipment ( and this one had a short cord that needs to be elevated in order to plug it) .in order to charge the phone at your bedised can’t find an outlet and it so inconvenient , the website as well only shows 2 picture of the room for 2 queen size bed and I assumed there will be a microwave in the room but then there is none ,the picture as well in the website showing a hot tub of some sort , yet on actual it was so small , doesn’t match up , back door as well can be easily access by stranger because it was left unlock so the management need to check that . Reception was quite ok , overall this place needs to do some upgrade , it has a good potential due to location hope this will be a good suggestion .

Spacious and comfortable rooms, and a nice pool, hot tub and sauna. We found parking a bit challenging in that there are not enough spots available, but appreciated that it was free and well-lit.

The only drawbacks to the Lobstick are the in house coffee bar (very limited hours) and the onsite restaurant which hasn’t been open in several years. Otherwise it’s a great place to stay.

No microwave in the room or even in the common area. TV Remote doesn't have battery. Phone in the room doesn't have handset and no dial tone. The room smells like a damp carpet. Staff are friendly and makes up for the condition of the room. Booking with Expedia is also very convenient and hassle-free.

I grew up at the Lobstick. My family stayed here yearly as we skied Marmot. I think it may have the same carpet. They have not modernized the electrical as there is no option for a phone plug in by the bed - easy fix if they just do it. Lots of lamps offer that option. That being said, it’s a fine ski hotel. Just fine, not great.

Our room was not clean with popcorn under the beds and pizza crust on the shelf. Our tub didn’t drain. Requested additional blanket and towels and never did show up. The indoor hot tub was not working. However outdoor hot tub was nice and kids enjoyed the pool. Lots of parking available.

Good option for Jasper. Just 2 mins drive to main Street. Beautiful views of mountain. Nice pool and Sauna. unfortunately during our stay, hot tub was out of service. But we were able to use the Hot tub in sister property near to us

The deluxe rooms are dark, dingy and dirty. The carpets are quite dirty, rooms are facing parking lot and there is very little to no natural light. The curtains are worn with splattered matter on it. The hot tub is out of order (no notification provided of that) and the outdoor hot tub is apparently full (according to front staff). The pool is quite cold and water is dirty. It’s not good value for the money we paid and we won’t be staying here again. The property pictures appear to be from a different time as the room does not align with Expedia pics.

You can hear everything at this hotel. We heard the blow dryer next door, so loud, that I thought one of us was up in our room and doing their hair. Heard people running/stomping down the halls constantly. Plus, they leave their side doors open to whoever all day. Anyone can just walk right into the building at any time. Beware when booking your rooms! When searching for a room, our head count was 3 adults and 1 child under 4, we entered that in the search criteria and the rooms available came up. We chose the room at Lobstick, as it was 2 king sized beds - which was perfect for 4 people. After we paid for the booking, we realized we were charged an additional $20 for having "an extra guest"???? We couldn't understand who this extra guest was! After some searching, we discovered that the Lobstick considers 2 people per room the max occupancy, and any person 17 years old, over that, you get charged $20 for. We searched for a room for 4 people, not 2! This room/hotel should have never come up when searching for a room for 4 people. It feels like we were shafted into an additional fee unknowingly and there's no refunds, so we had to leave it as is. Its only $20 but thats not the point. It should be in bold on Lobsticks page about this 2 people maximum per room, so people know. Its sneaky not too. We wont go back. We were at another establishment in July 2023 in the same city, and there were no "additional guest" fee's! We'll definitely go back there!

The hotel is older and without air conditioning. So the old boiler system can make the rooms hot. At night we just cracked a window to keep the room cool. Other than that the hotel was great.

Family ski trip 2024. We have stayed at the Lobstick numerous times over the last few years. Staff is friendly, kitchen rooms are handy, hot tub feels great after a day of skiing. Walkable distance downtown for supper. We would stay here again!
