We rented a small suite so that we could fix breakfast and light suppers, and for the most part the Royal Scot was perfect. It was a little cramped for three people, and we wish a few more kitchen basics were provided. The staff went above and beyond our expectations - they were all lovely. The car service was another draw, and it also worked out perfectly for us. Our only serious dissatisfaction was the grocery recommendation - the only market they could recommend was incredibly expensive and had a very low diversity of products.
"Great Location, good parking, close to everything"
We loved this hotel and would definitely come back. The biggest issue we had was we were upgrade to a Penthouse which had great views of the harbour and was huge ( 2 stories ) but had no air conditioning. The upstairs got very hot during the day. Next time we would make sure we had air if we were to go back in the warmer days of summer. Everyone at the hotel was great and very helpful.
Stayed here with my mom and daughter, so it was great to have separate bedrooms and separate bathrooms. Also loved our west facing balcony to watch the sunset colors and cruise ships. There was always lots of activity (sound) with sea gulls and sea planes, but not bothersome to us and only heard when the balcony doors were open!
Staying here put us within an easy walking distance to many tourist sites and there were lots of restaurant options nearby.
Having the kitchen made breakfast time and happy hour all the better! Look forward to a return trip.

My daughter and I stayed at the Admiral Inn for 2 nights. Although we did have our car, we walked nearly everywhere and avoided parking trouble by leaving our car at the hotel.
The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was very nice and the beds were extremely comfortable. The continental breakfast was better than many I have had.
James Bay is the oldest neighborhood in Victoria and is full of colonial charm, sprinkled with grand Victorian houses and perfectly manicured private gardens. It is located close to downtown on the south side of the harbor and offers gems such as Fisherman's Wharf marina, Beacon Hill Park, and the Strait of Juan de Fuca. The Royal British Columbia Museum is a must-see for history buffs.
