Clean, comfortable hotel.

Posted 24-Mar-2015
Pros: It's always clean.
Cons: It's starting to look dated.
Location: Walking distance to downtown. Right on the harbour.
We've stayed here several times. Not a fancy hotel but always spotlessly clean and the staff are super friendly. Great price with no added extras. Good location for the harbour, Fisherman's Wharf, downtown, etc.

Clean, quiet and close to everything

Posted 23-Mar-2015
Location: Lots of attractions and dining choices within a 2km walk.
Hotel staff are very friendly. We chose this place partly because the kids wanted to stay somewhere with free breakfast, but they weren't impressed by what was offered. Room was large and clean with a view of the harbor. We were surprised at how quiet it was, being right on the road. The only noise we heard was water in the pipes when other rooms had showers or flushed. VERY 80s decor (in another decade it will be kitschy) but clean, and everything worked, so nothing to complain about. Beds surprisingly comfy!

Great location right in the heart of downtown.

Posted 04-Mar-2015
Pros: Convenient location close to the harbour and the hub of downtown Victoria.
Cons: The baths could do with some upgrading.
Location: Close to the harbour, shopping, The Empress Hotel, the parliament buildings, carriage rides, the ferry, harbour tours, sea taxis and beautiful gardens
We've stayed in this Victoria bastion several times and while we're never disappointed, it could do with a bit of a face-lift. It's clean and comfortable and doesn't charge extra for WiFi or parking, which is a plus.

Old style hotel, but room really comfortable.

Cons: New TVs
Liked the convenience of a small hotel. Rooms were nicely laid out with two comfortable easy chairs. Don't have to sit on the bed! Staff easy going and helpful.

Nice hotel close to everything

Reasonably priced suite with full kitchen, view of the harbor and in walking distance to the main attractions. Bed was a little soft and breakfast nothing to rave about. However, the staff were great and the room felt like a home away from home.

Great location

Posted 11-Dec-2014
Location: Again, very close to all the major "touristy" places.
We only spent one night here, but we'll definitely use this location if we go back to Victoria someday. The location was perfect...only about two blocks from the ferry dock. It's an older hotel, but very well kept up. The breakfast is a little limited, but certainly fine for two "thrifty" travelers.

Affordable Comfort in a Prime Location

This hotel is excellent value for a reasonable price. Roomy suites with kitchens and nice sitting area. Breakfast included had a nice selection of goodies - very well done. Is located on the Victoria inner harbour and walking distance to all downtown amenities. Free parking a bonus.

Admiral Inn our new Place to stay in Victoria!

Posted 02-Dec-2014 on Hotels.com
Not brand new but very well kept. Right on waterfront 5min walk to Empress. We stayed here because our usual hotel, a block away, was booked. For the extra few dollars we had a huge room with a kitchen. A decent breakfast. Buffet style with ham boiled eggs etc and the bite size sausage rolls, ooh yes! Staff very friendly & helpful.
