Read the reviews. They are true. I did not read them.We tried to stay 04/12/2024. The entrance is very dark and we could not did the hotel at first. The location to what I needed it for was great but it was nasty and dirty. Elevator was horrible, floors were nasty and it overly gross. We checked in and checked out back out and got out of the area completely. The lady at the front desk was friendly and that is all it has going for them. We called for a refund from Expedia that same night. We are waiting for the manager to approve it.

The flooring needs replacement, aside from displaying stains and absence of maintenance. Staff was not very friendly. The hallways and rooms are in state of disrepair.

Probably one of the worst experiences besides the nice staff. Elevators broke, whole hallway is stained everywhere from the walls to the floors, the room didn’t have my soap, the sheets and bed skirts had stains, there was mold and there was a bad patched hole in the ceiling of the bathroom, rust on the chairs, smelt like dog, & worst of all Expedia wouldn’t provide a refund even after hotel was disgusted themself and offering a refund. I will never book through this site again especially since they didn’t fix their mistake. As for the hotel you need a lot of improvements. The breakfast waffles were my fav part of the stay tbh. My mom worked for this company 22 years and not one hotel I’ve been too looked like this one. Looked more like a motel…

This place is terrible tore up paints and walls! Needs! A complete renovation! We came in with a staff full attention on the cell phone! This is a ghetto! Not the way it was preCovid! Laquinta was always comfortable and clean! The elevator is a like a scene from Walking DEAD! and also the hallways. This location is unsafe for travelers with Children. There are a lot of weird looking Meth…people and Oh my God! their towels aren’t the best! We have to buy our own towel! Anyways enough said AVOID! this place

The room was ok, with a comfortable bed. The facility, however, needs an update. The ice machines are. Rosen, water was dripping from the ceiling in the lobby men’s room. The e.evator walls were stained and dirty, the hall carpets were worn and dirty looking. The location was convenient to rte 95 south of Jacksonville

We checked in for 2 rooms. Going up to the room, the hallways were filthy. The carpet was full of black mold. Thought another guest was kidding when he was sarcastically talking about the condition of the rooms. He wasn't. We get up to the rooms and I hear water running. We go in the first room and water is shooting out of the tub and sink. I turn them off, and the room is super humid. The carpet is stained with mold and mildew. The smell of room deodorizer was overwhelming. Went to the 2nd room to see the condition of that room and the carpet and cleanliness was just as bad. The light switches to the room did not work. We immediately called Expedia and got a refund and checked into a hotel 2 seconds away, where the staff graciously showed us the rooms prior to our finalizing the booking and they could not have been nicer our entire stay. They did note that they had heard the same complaints from other incoming guests. Wish I could upload pictures of the mold.

The bathroom vent and ceiling had mold showing big time. The bathroom needs a good cleaning from floor up. The halls were beyond filth. The exterior property had people loitering around. The desk reception had a cold personality and not no so welcoming. Never stay again!!!!!

The staff was lovely. However, the internet was so bad, and the elevator was scary. We even tried to use a different elevator that did not make ominous sounds or frightening vibrations and it was, tragically, out of order. Still, we got what we paid for. I’d probably stay there again if I had to.

It’s run down hotel. Needs work. My room wasn’t bad, but not great. Could’ve been way cleaner. Check-in staff was nice’ish. My lord was the night clerk an unprofessional GROUCH. I interacted with her twice, and both times she was grumpy, barely helpful, and had the emotional range of a teaspoon. I wish I’d paid attention to her name, she needs a write-up. The security ppl were nicer. There was some group of guys outside making a fuss past midnight and they broke it up. I don’t recommend this place unless you need something really affordable. Otherwise look elsewhere.

Both elevators were down and we were put on the 4th floor. My wife had a broken knee and I have bad hips making access to the room very difficult and painful. We have stayed at this location every year for the past 4 or 5 years, sometimes more and the condition of the property has declined every year. Carpets are filthy in the rooms, outside areas have rotting wood, just generally poor. We will not be back to this location. The elevator situation was a clear ADA violation.

This property was tired. It is in dire need of an update. The rugs were stained and ugly. On the plus side, the staff was very nice and even came to our aid when the TV didn't work. They were the highlight of the visit.

The desk staff was a total disgrace. She ask me 3 times do you have reservation? 3 times I state YES. She told me there was a $25.00 damage fee and I stated I did not read that when I booked. She stated it is in all our reservations. Next she gives me room key and when I got to my car there was no room number; I went back to desk and showed her no room number. I stayed there before as I go to the Mayo Clinic all staff were black and very friendly and helpful. I received the impression this black lady hates white people. When checking out I rang the bell a number of times as she was in back room of the desk and she refused to come to desk as I wanted my paid receipt, never got a receipt and was told if my room as not damaged I would receive my $25.00 within 3 to 5 business days. If you hate white people; do not be so open about it as we are paying customers.

very old and outdated none of the keys worked for the rooms had to continuously get it reset and it was all guests. only 1 elavator working random street people in the stairways. room smells has to get a new room the smell of cigarettes was unbearable

Bed was comfortable, location felt safe, and water pressure in shower was good. However, these selling points aren't enough to warrant another stay at this location due to everything else. One of the clocks needs to be setup in the room, and when on vacation the last thing I want to do is wrestle with figuring out how to program a clock. Dents and dings on wall where the sofa recliner sits Single power plug recepticle next to the TV doesn't work(beneath the wall lamp) Hand towels dirty Toilet constantly running water, the chain keeps getting stuck under the plunger Entrance door is very hard to operate. Found out later in stay why, the handle is completely disconnected from the knob. Door handle fell completely off, and while in the locked position, leaving the entrance unable to close securely as the deadbolt was in the locked position and blocking the door from closing. Had to wrestle with it and finally got it to work once and let the front desk staff know Stains in bathroom, small bug upon arrival I like La Quinta, but not this one.

The property was very old and needs refurbishment. The staff was not very friendly. The facility doesn't have sufficient hot water to support a full hotel which forces tenants to take lukewarm showers during peak utilization times.

Really needs some renovations. The carpet was stained and should be ripped up. Paint is chipping. Both elevators were out of order the entirety of our stay so we had to go up and down 4 flights of stairs to get to and from our room. Unacceptable in my opinion.

I went to get water from the bathroom sink and a german roach fell out into the glass. I opened the drawer in the stand next to the bed there were german roaches. and I could see others scurring about the room.
