“Great Hotel”

“good hotel, but slightly dated”

- location is slightly away from town center, but its not too far - hotel's restaurant was closed in last week of october, so we had to go to town center for dinner - bathroom is a little old fashioned in design/layout and the tub was small - no microwave or fridge in room + room was very clean but it was dimly lit - needs brighter lighting options + linen and towels were very clean and of good quality and bed was very comfortable + staff was friendly, and brought us extra toilettries upon request promptly

“Sneak Stay”

We booked Alpine Vista and when we got to Jackson looked and looked for it. It is actually the Snow King's cheaper rooms! We liked it a lot, but it only offers pay breakfast ($13.00). You can get cheaper ones downtown. Super nice desk staff.

“Jackson Hole Hotel”

We stayed in an older part of the Snow King Resort in Jackson Hole. The room was on the small side and the bathroom was very small. There was no counter space. There were constant HVAC noises at night. On the plus side the room was very clean. The mattress was great. The resort was conveniently located in a quiet part of town next to the ski slopes. The staff was very friendly. The restaurant had good food at a reasonable price, with great staff. I would recommend this hotel, but pay the extra money for a room in the resort. Our stay in Jackson Hole was great and we look forward to coming back. Hint for travelers: Many of the services in the National Parks (Tetons and Yellowstone) close by October 1; plan your trip by no later than the middle of September.

Area recommendations

Jackson Hole is a great little town. While it has a "western" atmosphere reflecting its roots, we found that the restaurants we ate at had excellent food. Be sure to visit the National Wildlife Art Museum on the edge of town.

“Highly recommended”

I stayed in this hotel at the last day of my yellowstone-grand tetont travel. Compared with other hotels I stayed, this one is really great with comfortable large bed, the room size is also good. The only problem is that expedia called it Alpine Vista Lodging, but the real name is Snow King Resort.

“Quiet area with super-comfy beds!”

As another reviewer wrote, Alpine Vista is part of the Snow King Resort - it doesn't even say Alpine Vista anywhere, but I guess the rest of the resort is condo rentals, not a hotel. I ended up staying in two separate rooms and both were comfortable. The King beds are especially nice and the room layout was good. My chief complaint would be the room lighting. While I'm sure it's great for a romantic or relaxing stay, it was vastly inadequate for doing any reading or work on my laptop - way too dark!! The hotel did provide a nice dining directory for Jackson that had maps and sample menus - a real bonus with all the options available! The location is very quiet - but if you want to be in the thick of the action, or within walking distance of downtown Jackson, this would not be a good choice (it's maybe a mile from the center). I did notice that the town bus made frequent stops at the inn, so you wouldn't need to drive if you wanted to go downtown. Overall a comfortable stay - I'd recommend it!

“A nice stay minus one little issue...”

A staff member taking the time to make and post one small note is what kept this review from being outstanding. After spending 3-5 dollars (not the issue) and several hours (the issue) trying to get my clothes to dry I mentioned it to the front desk and was told that they were aware of the problem..I finally hung my clothes around my room and finished drying them the next morning when the other dryer became vacant. Alpine Vista was the Hotel that I booked but was not the actual hotel name. I got a better deal no problems there...
