“Lovely hotel and setting”
We were pleased to see this beautiful hotel in this quaint area of Jackson Hole. We were treated kindly at the front desk and enjoyed the character and comfort of the room. The breakfast the next morning was wonderful in another character-filled dining room. I would definitely stay here again!!!
“Very nice-”
People at front desk were very nice and helpful. The breakfast that was served was very good. The dinner that we had was not very good and to expensive. This was the only complaint!
“Pretty setting, but the quality of the hotel and the personnel were very average”
Teton Village is really lovely and the other hotels in the area were very nice, too. The Alpenhof has an attractive exterior in keeping with its Swiss/Austrian motif but the interior is somewhat drab. The hotel personnel were not friendly and the reception desk personnel were not visible upon entry to the lobby( they seemed to like to hide in a corner of the reception area that was not visible from the entry door. The rooms need a makeover as do the dining areas. There is no fitness center but with all the outdoor activities available, they probably don't need one.We would only stay here again if there were no other available rooms in the village.
“Great Hotel !!! Great staff!!!”
The room was wonderful, the breakfast was terrific and the dog made it feel like home. The owner Mark was very helpful with all of our needs. We are going to visit Jackson again in the winter and are going to stay at the Alpenhof !!!
“Great hotel, great service!”
Everything about our stay at the Alpenhof was great...with one exception. The parking lot is a pain in the neck. It's surrounded by a stupid fence and you have to drive all around just to find your way in and out. I say take down the fence. It doesn't seem to serve any purpose since there is never anyone at the entrance shack.
“Best breakfast buffet”
The hotel was nice. It was the first hotel built in Teton Village(1965), so it is older. The desk staff was very helpful with regards to getting around town and hikes that we wanted to take. The breakfast buffet, which was included in the price of the room was pretty amazing. The wait staff was very friendly. My only complaint was that when I asked how often the sheets were changed, I was told that they were changed every 3 days, and we had a 6 day stay, and our sheets were never changed in that time. We tipped the maids and some days we weren't left shampoo or soap. Overall, we had a good experience, but we only used our room to sleep and take showers, since we were gone from 8:30 am until 7 or 8 pm.
“Convenient to Grand Teton National Park”
From our hotel, we were minutes away from our destination, Grand Teton National Park. We were close enough to go back and forth during the day and take advantage of the hotel as a place to rest during the day after hiking in the park. The staff was helpful and even provided us with sack lunches when we asked. Breakfast was great and the restaurants in the area provided a good variety.
“Good location for skiing, but in the summer stay in Jackson”
Cosy hotel very convenient to the slopes. However, in the summer stay in Jackson as it offers better dining and other options. Teton village where the hotel is located offers little in the way of dining (frankly the choices are quite poor). The bed in our room creaked so badly we could not sleep, but management gave us a different room without delay when we complained. Staff was very friendly and professional. The hotel is very clean, but the age is showing a bit. There was plenty of parking. A nice touch was that we were allowed to check in early without an extra charge.
“Convieniebt to lifts, reasonably priced, good service”
Closest lodging to ski lifts in Teton Village. There are three dining areas in the hotel, one for the complimentary breakfast buffet (very good), one geared mostly toward lunch (better selection and lower prices than on-slope dining areas) and one for dinner (which I did not try). The rooms are small but if all you need is a bed, bath, closet, TV and a desk they are perfectly adequate. I will definitely stay there again the next time I go to Jackson Hole.
“Perfect Ski In and Out”
Nice cozy place to stay, very short distance to the gondola, good breakfast buffet. Bus terminal close by to get to Jackson.
