We had a fabulous holiday at the Amathus. The hotel has excellent facilities, is very clean and the staff could not do enough for you. We especially liked the adult only pool and we got great pool side service. There is a private beach area though the only issue with this is the lack of toilets, you have to trail back up to the hotel to use the facilities, Its location is great, within walking distance of some great restaurants & bars. Taxis are easy to come by & it was only 8 euros to get to Rhodes Old Town which is definitely worth a visit - you can get a bus which are frequent & costs 2.4 euros each. We also used the Spa facilities but waited for days when there were special offers on as were quite pricy but they were excellent facilities.
We arrived in Sheraton Rhodes, after a long trip from Boston. Very welcoming staff and hotel was a warm welcome. Staff made us feel welcome, and always tried to accommodate our needs. Great resort experience, with many facilities, and conveniences. The hotel was the biggest and most well featured waterfront location with a spectacular view. The scale and grand atmosphere was very impressive.

The garden suites were perfect for families. There were two rooms, so plenty of space. We had a small kitchenette in our unit which was helpful. The beach across the road is pebbles, which isn't ideal with children, but we knew that when booking the hotel. We drove a short distance to sandy beaches.

Fantastic place to stay. The owners did everything they could to help us feel welcome. It isn't near the old town rhodes, but a single bus journey is all you need to get there. I suggest hiring a scooter and seeing the entire island. If this is the case, getting to and from Blue Roses is very simple. Thanks for the stay guys!
A purpose-built seaside resort, Ixia lies on Rhodes' north coast, three kilometres from Rhodes Town, and 11 from the airport. Along the coastal road is a string of large hotels set in landscaped grounds with pools. The long, narrow pebble beach is equipped with sunloungers, umbrellas and water sports facilities. Thanks to the north wind, windsurfing is popular here.
