“Shame about the noise...”

A good standard of accommodation, comfortable room, sat TV (but only BBC world News or CNN in English). Good buffet breakfast and Dinner. Food was extremely tasteful with a big variety of different foods. There is enough selection to please everyone. (Rovinj is 1km away, few places are inexpensive to eat). The only downside was the very noisy building work next door-heavy drilling into rock from 0800 - 1830 seven days a week. This is continuous all throughout the day. The swimming pool and rooms at the back of the hotel are, as a result, never without noise. The evenings entertainment starts at 20.00, often lasting through until midnight or beyond. The musical acts seemed to please the (mostly elderly German) guests in the bar. Those staying in the rooms above this however, will find it difficult to sleep. Staff are very friendly and helpful, always willing to please. Bar prices are expensive and your typical beverage only consists of 200mls, instead of the UK standard of 250mls. We booked transfer from Pula airport through Istria tours. Clean, safe car. Nice journey costing 250kn. Driver was nice and welcoming. A taxi from Pula to Rovinj is 400 - 500kn.

Area recommendations

Pula is very good for shopping and history. Rovinj is a small market town with plenty of tourist shops, but no big, major, well known names.

“Hotel Eden di Rovigno - piacevolissima vacanza”

Si tratta di un grande hotel immerso in un fantastico parco. La struttura è tipicamente quella del periodo titino, ma, per come è stata sistemata ed è gestita, non ha più l'atmosfera di una fredda stazione ferroviaria. Le stanze non sono grandi e l'aria condizionata è un po' rumorosa e non molto efficiente, ma è stato piacevole, prima di coricarsi, attardarsi nel balcone con vista sul verde e su uno scorcio di mare, ascoltando la musica degli intrattenimenti nel bar all'aperto sottostante. Il personale della reception, delle camere, dell'animazione è estremamente gentile e professionale. La signora che si occupava della nostra camera aveva un atteggiamento quasi ... materno. Per la prima colazione è servito di tutto e di più, senza scadere di qualità, in un andirivieni di camerieri che prontamente tengono puliti i tavoli e con i cuochi che cucinano dietro i banconi. Ma la cosa più bella è il grande parco con una immensa piscina e centinaia di lettini per sdraiarsi al sole o sotto l'ombra di querce e pini o sul bordo della piscina. Cento metri più giù il mare. In hotel abbiamo noleggiato due biciclette per scorazzare sui vialetti preclusi alle auto di un immenso bosco, parco pubblico confinante con quello dell'hotel, e metterci all'ombra di un pino proteso sul mare per poi fare un po' di snorkeling tra gli scogli. A sera, in bicicletta, si era, in 5 minuti, nel centro di Rovigno a godere di questo splendido paese e dei suoi ristoranti di ottimo pesce.

“Vom Hotel ist gelangt man dem Strand entlang in 10 Minuten in das Zentrum.”

Unmittelbar neben dem Hotel befindet sich eine Baustelle. Je nach Lage des Zimmers ist Wochentags mit Lärm ab ca. 08.00 zu rechnen. Vom Hotel Eden aus benötigt man kein Auto um unmittelbar in das Zentrum von Rovinj zu gelangen. Im Zentrum kann man ausgezeichnet Fisch essen, für danach gibt es ein paar gute Lokale. Der Wellnessbereich des Hotels erscheint in der Info schöner als er tatsächlich ist. Insbesonder der Saunabereich ist für ein 4* Haus sehr klein. Die bestellte Massage war sehr gut und wurde professionell durchgeführt.

Area recommendations

Beeindruckend ist der Limski-Kanal wegen seines tiefen Einschnittes. In der Stadt Pula befindet sich ein sehr gut erhaltenes Amphitheater, auch die Altstadt ist sehenswert.

E una bellissima struttura immersa nel verde ma nel periodo autunnale (data l'impossibilità di utilizzare le piscine esterne ed i servizi esterni- il rapporto qualità- prezzo è troppo elevato.
