They welcome you on arrivel and give you all the information about the city and sites close by and best way how to get arround. The room was very claen , comfortable and elegant. We had very nice Suite .The Apartment location is walking distance from several restaurants and landmarks such as the Blue Mosque, The Hagia Sophia,Grand Bazaar. nice and comfortable appartment in the old centre

Posted 25-Feb-2015
Pros: Just a few hundred meter from the crowded city centre you stay in a quite appartment opposit a small park. Beds/matresses are, as promised, great!
Both location as well as the room were perfect. A perfect location to visit alle the typical historical and cultural places in Istanbul. We plan to get back in springtime and hope to stay in the same place. Hotel staff was very friendly and delivered a perfect service orgnising the tranportation to the airport.

Worst hotel I've ever stayed in!

Posted 22-Feb-2015
Cons: All the amenities in each room should be the same. You shouldn't have situations where one room has a soap dish, and another room doesn't.
Location: About 10 minutes walk to Grand Bazaar (Kepali chachi - English pronunciation) About 10-15 minutes walk to Blue Mosque.
This is the worst hotel/apartment I've ever stayed in! We were here for 8 days, booked only 1 room, but stayed in 2 rooms (due to water leakage) 1) There were not enough electrical sockets, so when I needed to power my appliances, I had to remove one of the lights beside the bed. 2) TV had a lot of static (reception not adjusted properly?) 3) 1 manager kept offering tours to us (as if that's all he cared about) 4) We were tricked (the facilities listed a laundry facility, but we couldn't find any.) You can walk to a laundry shop less than 10 seconds away from the office building, and another laundry shop less than 5 minutes away. 5) The wallpapers were peeling off. 6) There were renovations going on for at least 5 days (making us wake up early, feeling very irritated) 7) There were holes somewhere in the room because we could feel cold draft coming in from outside. 8) The shower door couldn't close completely. 9) There were insufficient curtains in the bed room. 10) On our last few days, both the bedroom's ceiling lamp and smoke detector were leaking water, so when we pointed this out to the manager, he relocated us to another room. The following comments are for the new room we were relocated to after water leakage was discovered. 11) The new room did not have a soap dish. 12) The curtain wasn't fixed in place, so it fell off easily. 13) Batteries were missing in the TV or air con remote controls. 14) Nearly broken chair!

Hostel NOT a Hotel

Posted 21-Feb-2015
Don't ve decieved by the website and Expedia profile. The first room I was placed in is not fit for habitation: in the midst of one of the heaviest snowfalls in Istanbul in decades the heating and insulation in the room was wholly insufficient and would not pass most European inspections. Granted the building is a listed heritage site, it is certainly not four stars in any regard. The facilities have been made to look the part and that is where it ends. The noise levels from the street and adjacent school are unbearable and incessant throughout the day and night. Pedestrian passer-by's conversations can be heard throughout the building. The street sweeper passing by at 02:00 may as well be in the room. Other than a good location, there is no recommendation to stay at this hostel unless there's absolutely no other option. The beds and linen are old and need replacing. The rooms are 'cleaned' daily but never thoroughly as would be expected in a "4 star" property.

Horrible, I wouldn't recommend.

The room was cold, air conditioning wasn't working. Noisy, not nice area, especially at night not safe to walk. Not clean.

Appartamento in centro

Posted 13-Jan-2015

Great location

Posted 13-Jan-2015
Istanbul is a beautiful city, rich in cultural heritage and sights to see. The Sultanahmet Apartments, located in the "old town" within 5 minutes walk of The Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and The Basillica Cistern is perfectly situated to take in these sights. Personally, I found the old town location much more interesting and rewarding, with its winding streets and authentic shops, restaurants and work shops, than the busier, more touristy large hotel district located in the newer section of the city. The apartments themselves were large, functional and comfortable. In particular, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall an excellent trip, I would whole heartedly recommend the city and the apartments.

Great apartment suites

Posted 11-Jan-2015
I had a great time there, the staff were very welcoming and nice, they gave me a bigger room to be closer to my friends with no extra charge, I was very pleased with everything and I would definitely stay there if I visit Istanbul again.

Don't go if you want comfort

Posted 16-Dec-2014
The pictures are not the same as reality. The manager was nice but everything else was terrible. The room is small and cold. The place is so narrow and dangerous. If you are not Turkish or don't know how to speak turkey then this place is not for you. I booked three nights but as soon as I saw the place I wanted a refund but ofcourse they don't refund your money but even though I left anyway because it didn't look safe to me
