“Would recommend and use again.”
Friendly and helpful staff. Superb location, a short walk to all the major attractions. Excellent decor. Good selection of breakfast items.
“So close to all the sights you want to see”
Very friendly, helpful staff
“Wonderful stay”
Our stay at the Sarnic Boutique Hotel was wonderful. Our rooms were beautiful, clean and had lovely views of the Blue Mosque which looked especially impressive at night all lit up. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and certainly made our stay extra special. The hotel's location was perfect; close to all the sights, shopping areas and great restaurants. Would definitely recommend!
“Teenagers love it!”
What a beautiful city! What charming people! You certainly need at week here to savour all the delights. You can get lost very easily though - and being at the Sarnic Hotel in the old town was wonderful. lots of little restaurants, cafes, strolling areas, near the Blue Mosque and an interesting walk from all the main sites of the old area. The hotel staff were helpful, friendly and told you the best places to eat (the hotel food was good, and the breakfast superb!). The fish restaurant near the fish market was everything I had hoped for and looked for in spain and never really found. The Bosphorous boat trip was relaxing and we felt that we were going back to our own home and friends at The Sarnic Hotel. So if you go to the Sarnic Hotel, turn left, then left again, go past the Blue Mosque on the left, carry on up the hill until you reach the main roach where the train line is and over the road you'll find lots of lovely side street restaurants. Not to meniton Mcdonalds of course where they had a very pleasant tranquil terrace. To get around - follow the tramlines! Can't wait to go back again - neither can our son - which is rare.
“Istanbul overview”
The hotel(Sarnic) was very pleasant quite simple but catered for all our needs clean rooms and bathroom very nice staff polite and helpful nice and quiet buffet breakfast. Location very good 2 minutes from blue mosque which was handy but if you are a light sleeper prayers are loud at apx 5.30 in the morning did not disturb me but drove my husband mad. The city is very nice reasonably priced relaxed and the people nice, Transport good easy to travel about using buses or trams although this hotel was very central to walk to most of the main attractions.
“Warm welcome awaits..........”
We received a warm, friendly welcome at this small but traditional hotel. It has the feel of a family run hotel as with just 16 rooms there was not a constant change of staff faces. The staff are mostly English speaking which is a bonus if you don't speak any Turkish! Set in the centre of all the main attractions in the "old part" of the city, the view of the Blue Mosque from the roof terrace is beautiful especially at night. Lots of restaurants nearby but the food is good at The Sarnic too.
“Excellent base for exploring Istanbul”
The Sarnic hotel was truly lovely, extremely clean and comfortable - an ideal base for exploring Istanbul. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is literally 2 minutes walk from the Hippodrome and the Blue Mosque.....the 05:50 call to prayer from the mosque can sometimes be an unwelcome experience!!!
“Great location, calm atmosphere, polite and helpful staff”
The Sarnic is a great small hotel. The location, minutes from the main sites of interest in Istanbul, is quiet - apart from the inevitable muezzin call at five in the morning, but that's part of the atmosphere. Breakfast is a comprehensive and well-stocked buffet. No lift but helpful front-of-house staff. Ideal for my family of four who wanted a comfortable and characterful small hotel with a local feel rather than an anonymous 'could be anywhere' corporate monstrosity. We didn't try the roof-top dining, mainly because there is such an overwhelming choice of places to eat nearbye.
“Sarnic Hotel”
I was very impressed by the friendliness of the hotel staff. The room itself although was small was very comfortable and cosy. All the major attractions in Sultanahmet were a walking distance from the hotel, which meant I saved alot of money on taxi fares. If I go back to Istanbul, I would definatly stay at the Sarnic again
“Wonderful Staff”
The Sarnic Hotel is situated right in the heart of old Istanbul, a stone throw from the Blue Mosque. It is a very clean hotel with a pleasant atmosphere, but its greatest strength lies with its staff : they were extremely helpful in all departments at all times but without ever being intrusive or creating a sense of claustraphobia. The rooms are a little on the dark side and there is not a great deal of storage room, but these are trivial matters when weighed in against the advantages. Great value for money and a really great base for Istanbul.
