“Great location, close to all major sites. V friendly service”

I've said most of what i need to re the hotel. Istanbul is great place, but ladies be careful! It's safe but some of the guys are creepy and don't get it if you say get lost, they keep going on and on which is annoying. Going in jan was cold (similar to London weather, where I'm from) but quite few days were sunny so pics came out nice. Also not many tourists so no queues at the sites meant no time was wasted!

“Great location - unless you're a taxi!”

Just returned from 2 nights in Istanbul following my football (soccer) team. The result of the match may have been a disappointment, but the hotel certainly was not! Check in was relaxed and welcoming with a complimentary drink while they sorted out the formalities. Room was on the small side, but adequate and clean (although a bit more storage would have been useful). Great views of the skyline (including Blue Mosque)from the breakfast room. Extremely convenient location for the main attractions in the Old City and beyond; walking distance of Grand Bazaar, Blue Mosque, Hagya Sofya etc. and very close to the tram stop that will take you further afield. However, it is a nightmare for taxi drivers; the hotel is on the corner of a dead end street and traffic is barred from the main road (trams only). Before my visit I was slightly concerned about being a lone female visitor to Istanbul, but the service and general helpfulness of staff soon quelled any concerns. There are of course many 'boutique' hotels in Sultanahmet area and although some are in a much prettier location I would still recommend the Pierre Loti for its convenience to everything and warm hospitality.

“Best location in Istanbul, clean and friendly, marvelous”

This hotel is extremely nice, in a great location, you can walk to many attractions. The hotel is clean, the staff more than informative and helpful. The morning breakfast was very good, traditional Turkish fare plus more. Would recommend this hotel to everyone looking a great place to stay in Istanbul. Will definately return here to stay in future Istanbul trips. Thanks to everyone for such great service and also to Expedia for offering it to us. Sincerely Paula and David

“great location”

Great location for seeing important sites. Also it has a roof garden restaurant from which one can see local landmarks and look across the water into Asia. Romantic!

“Excellent location to stay in”

Hotel is in excellent location within 5 mins walk of Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar and plenty of local shops. Hotel staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. Tram stops 2 mins walk. Mattresses hard but the best sleep we've had for ages. Not much drawer space is only down side. Turkish Bath in the Hotel is worth a try but quite expensive. I would recommend you get Reception to book any trips you may wish to take.

“Value for money”

The staff are professional and friendly, and accommodating. The breakfast is good, but you have to pay more for fruit juice and omelettes! The hotel is conveniently situated for the tram, and major attractions, but the road can be a bit noisy at night. The transfer to the hotel from the airport is very efficient, but slightly expensive. Overall, a reliable and good hotel.
