I was already familiar with Divan; however, had not seen the spa which adds to the convenience and completes the stay. It is a gem of a boutique hotel among the highrises around it, built and furnished in high quality, timeless pieces and the staff is very professional yet friendly.

Terrible rooms and dysfunctioning toilet
We checked in just after Christmas. Our first room was placed on a smoking floor despite asking for it to be non-smoking. The next room had a dysfunctional toilet. The spa asks you to cover your hair but no one follows this rule it is instead just a money making rule to force people to buy swim caps that they conveniently sell for a 1000% mark up. Overall disappointed.

The Divan Istanbul was perfect for our needs. We only spent one night there but we had dinner and their breakfast buffet where the food was very good at both. Additionally, we used the swimming pool in the morning and walked around the shops in the area before heading to the airport.

I don’t understand how this place is 8.8/10 on Expedia. I have been in hotels with 8.8 rating that were booked via Expedia and this was not similar to any of them. The price doesn’t match the quality of this hotel. If you’re planing on paying that rate, there are plenty of better hotels near Taksim area.

this is the best Hotel by far ,and the assistance manger mr Sinai made it so easy for us He even give me his personal cell and called me on his day off to make sure we are doing fine , this is the only place we gonna stay going forward and i suggest this hotel for any special occasion you may have .
