“Will take the family there soon”
Friendly and efficient reception personnel. Quick room clean up. Outstanding breakfast variety and outstanding breakfast service personnel. Short walking distance to public transportation hub. Walking distance to a dynamic shopping and entertainment district. Excellent eating places at and all around the hotel. Close to many cultural and sight seeing centers. Free internet access in the lobby.
“very good choice -- I would come back”
This is a very nice hotel just next to Taksim Square (1 block walking distance). Taksim Square is located in downtown Istanbul. There are many shops, cafes and restaurants nearby. I spent 4 nights at this hotel and I would come back. The rooms are very clean -- just like in US in top hotels. Furniture is new and in great shape. The rooms are not large by American standards, but not small either. The amenities in the room are very good. There is a very sturdy safe so you can lock your money and passport. Breakfast at this hotel is excellent. It is on the top floor, with a magnificent view of the city. Food is a mix of Turkish and Western. It is very good -- a lot of choice. I used the hotel gym. It is very modern. Same equipment as in a good hotel gym in US. There were just a few small glitches. The first night I was put in a smoking room -- but I arrived very late and was tired and did not bother to ask for non-smoking (it was on my reservation). The next morning I asked to be moved to a non-smoking room, and my request was accommodated immediately, even though the hotel was actually almost fully booked. At the reception, one staff member was a bit colder than what you may be used to in US. But this is normal in Istanbul. They have, however, accommodated every single request that I made. The hotel porters, chamber maids and most receptionists were extremely friendly to me -- even more so than at top hotels in US. In short, this hotel is a very good choice in Istanbul.
“Convenient location”
From the airport, it is very easy to get to the hotel taking the Havas bus to Taxim Square. The hotel is only a couple blocks from the stop. The Metro station to get to the historic district is also right there. It was less expensive to stay on this side of the city and yet easy to get to all the key attractions. There are also a lot of restaurants and activities in the Taksim area. The room was very small and there were no drawers or closets to put anything in. However, the breakfast was decent and for the price this was an acceptable hotel choice for the area.
“Hotel”
Good hotel and has very good public relations officer
“won't go there again”
Ignored by receptionist who was talking to the bellboy for 5 minutes, then never gave me eye contact. Bellboy said my room was nonsmoking as requested and quickly pickedup up the ashtray from the room as we entered it. Breakfast wasn't great. swimming pool is very small and is more of a plunge pool for the sauna than anything else. Wireless only available in reception unless you want to pay per night. Rest of the experience was average. My colleagues stayed in the Titanic City 30 seconds away and was worlds apart, much closer to my expectations for a business trip.
“I recommend to stay knowing that you are well informed where to go in Istanbul”
Very good hotel to stay in . Ask for the upper floors rooms ( except the 9th and the 10th) to avoid noise . reception desk very cooperative , excellent buffet , very good service and very clean . Location is very handy . Surely I would stay in if I'll come again to Istanbul .
“Good hotel, but Internet must be included!”
The hotel was all right, the breakfast was good and the staff were friendly and helpful. There is free WiFi in the lobby, but why, oh WHY, does it cost 15 EUR to use it in the room? Absolutely ridiculous from a 4* hotel. I almost want to NOT recommend the hotel because of this...
Note 1 für diesen Service.
“A recommander”
