“Great hotel satff”
Hotel staff are the best I have ever dealt with they are really helpful and friendly, hotel prices are really competitive however if you are planning to stay at the hotel only for sleep that would be acceptable other than that there is nothing that can be done inside the hotel. but great location as well you near to almost all must see places and the rest can be accessed through transportation which is again very near!!!
“GOOD LOCATION”
The hotel is located within minutes from the Arafta Bazzar and Hagga Sophia, you can actually walk to those sites about a 3 minute walk from the hotel. The staff was very nice and helpful. The only minor issue was the breakfast which they always offered the same items during the week i was there so it can be improve. The rooms have their own safe deposit box. I also recommend a very small family run restaurant that is located about a minute away from the hotel, when you get out of the lobby entrance make a left and then another left where the Best Western is located and is located at the next corner on your left , there is a duck near the restaurant which belongs to one of the owners. The restaurant has very good omelettes, keebobs, and most important very good food at inexpensive prices. While in Turkey try the Turkish tea very strong and good, also try the yogurt milk called Ayran. Grand Bazaar is a must for souvenirs and make sure that you bargain with them for the prices because the price they quote at first is not the least cheaper one. Must go to the Sistine which is near Hagar Sophia, which is an underground cave where Medusa lived.
“Very friendly staff”
The staff were very friendly and helped us get to local tourist attractions. The main thing that was disappointing was the bathroom smelling like a public toilet.
“Christmas Turkey”
My girlfriend and I went to Turkey for 4 days over Christmas. Angel's Home is an affordable, comfortable, well-located hotel. The staff were really helpful. The desk staff organised/gave us the details of some tours, which we did, and all of them were very enjoyable. Breakfast was a bit average, but from it you get the necessary sustenance to get you through the day, so I wasn't too fussed.
“Ideal spot for major attractions”
Well run hotel in an ideal position. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. One point to note - decide carefully which type of room to book - there is quite a difference between the grades of rooms. We booked the standard double but it turned out to be very small & dark, so we paid extra to upgrade to a much better room. However it was definitely worth doing!
“good hotel”
Hotel is quite comfortable. Door lock on my room was awful, free breakfast was reasonably good. I would recommend the hotel itself, but it's right in the middle of the backpacker strip and you have to walk a long way to get away from the hawkers and bad restaurants. Of course it's also two blocks from the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia ...
“Good hotel for its price”
We were staying in the penthouse this winter. Great situated, nice view, helpful staff. So we enjoyed the Istanbul's sightseeing. But we surprised that cats everywhere ;) One of them came through the opened balcony door and went asleep on the sofa. Well if you dislike cats, keep your balcony door closed.
“Very friendly and homely. The staff were very helpful”
The hotel itself is very very central and close to lots of attractions. The staff were friendly, and helpful. I did not get the views of the Blue Mosque that I was expecting, but we were so close to the mosque it did not really matter. The hotel is also very close to the Sultanahmet tram stop, so public transport was very cheap and easy from there. The only thing that I had a problem with was that they wanted to charge a bit much to collect us from SAW airport, where it cost us 1 tenth of the price to take public transport. The breakfast was good and all in all, I had a wonderful time.
“Moderate Quality”
Well Decorated. Well smelled. But not clean enough. Bad Breakfast: Cold egg, and non changing items. Reception people were friendly but they did not have much information to guide us.
“Okay but think we could have done better.”
When we arrived we were told we had been upgraded. That was good as I do not think we would have been happy with any less than what we had. Most of the staff were very helpful. The breakfast was not great and some dishes (not really sure what they were) appeared to have been left on the table for the whole five days we were there. It was not a terrible experience but we probably could have done better even if we had to pay a bit more.
