“Great little hotel”

I wasn't expecting much from the Pagoda after reading several bad reviews, but I must say, it was great. The location was perfect, the views were breathtaking, the room was clean and so was the hotel and for the price it is worth a visit.

“ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL”

Excellent hotel in all respects, courtesy, professionalism, cleanliness and efficiency. We spent a week at the hotel and it was lovely, we felt as at home. Rooms very comfortable, clean and comforting. Excellent hospitality, helpfulness and professionalism of staff, excellent amenities and availability, always ready to provide valuable information.The girls in the reception as so kind!Pools nice and cozy, the Jacuzzi is absolutely marvelous with a fantastic view. Access to the sea FANTASTIC! Just a few steps far from our room. Breakfast is good. The location is great for those who want to visit the island within walking distance of the port and all the terminus of the island bus. The food is simple and excellent, the wine in Ischia is really good. Fabulous, to recommend to everyone.

“Superb Accommodation-I love this place!”

Lovely place ,extermely helpful staff,clean and comfprtable .Super!!! We recommended it to our friends and family and who knows we might come bak there for the fourth time! A lots of interesting trips to Capri ,Amalfi Cost,Pompei,Herculaneum ,Vesuvio etc

“Good Location, bargain prices”

I would recommend this hotel to friends who were looking to conserve money. It was relatively low priced and had a good location, although it was located up a dark residential street (but then there is little crime on Ischia). The rooms were simple but adequate and it seemed they had guests who were there for several weeks and rented small apartments. The pool was very nice and you could walk down a long, pretty stone staircase to a stone platform for swimming in the bay....very scenic. The Pagoda Residence is tucked away to the side of the port so it is quiet, despite the large ferries that docked there. The management was nice and accommodating but you had to seek them out for questions or requests. Most of the restaurants and shops are located on the other side of the port -- a 10 minute walk and not a chore at all.

“we liked ischia”

Be sure to go to one of the thermal hot spring spas; eat at an outside restaurant to the right of the bus station with meat cooked on an outdoor fire spit; very good (can't remember the name) but easy to find and all locals eating there. The village of San Angelo is beautiful. Staff at Hotel Pagoda are very nice and helpful. We were pleased.

“Don't stay here!”

Don't stay here if you want a quality hotel! The island is fantastic, the hotel is suitable for backbacking but you'd get better rates and food at a hostel. Visiting from the UK, upgraded when booking to superior sea view room with terrace and breakfast. The room had no windows. At all. A door offered partial glimpse of the harbour. terrace is 1.5 by 1 yards with stinking drain. Requested a move and was denied. Several light bulbs blew during our stay - request for replacement came to nothing. Paint flaking off the walls, dirty grills, mouldy shower. Could clearly hear every detail of residents conversations and habits in room above, including in the bathroom, down to the last tinkle, then flush. Staff (other than cleaners, who were pleasant and seemed to work hard) unpleasant and abrupt. When checking out, asked if we could shower and change somewhere later – they told us yes, showers near the pool. These turned out to be external, cold, and in full view of the pool. We ended up changing in the fitness room, hoping no one felt like exercising. Breakfast we prepaid for (and I have a photo of the menu to upload) was restricted to exactly 1 coffee or similar (cold), 1 fruit juice, oatmeal (not supplied) toast with jam, 1 yogurt (first day fine, second day rotten) 1 pastry (not good, sorry), 1 slice of cake, 1 toast with butter, 1 seasonal fruit (also not available) Ham and plain croissants could be had for an extra payment. It’s funny now, but don’t try it :-)

“Average”

We booked a superior sea view room. The room was built into the cliff face underneath the swimming pool with only a small window, air conditioner that didn't work and worn out furniture. The view was technically of the sea, but only if you leant out of the window. The hotel were reluctant to let us change rooms but when we did, the second room was very nice.

“Pagodao Hotel and residence”

Pagoda Hotel was more than I expected superb views from the surrounding gardens and swimming pool. Very central to Ischia town and to buses. Breakfast was lovely and good value for money just like the accommodation very reasonable prices for the area. Staff very friendly and always very helpful when asked for information.

“Lovely Location”

Hotel in lovely location overlooking th sea, only a short walk from the ferry. Don't take a car, no parking facilities on site, parking spaces difficult to find and can cost 10 euros a day. Good facilities, although would go back, dissappointed with restaurant in that TV was always on.
