Amazing hotel /spa experience In grand style
This was such an amazing stay fantastic upgrade with a sea view in the tower main building. Staff are bar none with impeccable service. Spa facilities on site, outdoor spa hot salt water pool, indoor pools at 38c, sauna, steam, cold bath, spa and massage treatment options to schedule. Recommended to feel comfortable on site in your bathrobe at any time. A wonderful hotel experience we’ll never forget, and will absolutely return. 5 star.

Hotel was nice to upgrade us and the property is incredible and views are stunning. The staff were terrific and very accommodating. Upgraded room with sea views was comfortable but quite cramped. This was the smallest room we had on our trip all over Amalfi Coast and Capri. Hopefully the hotel has plans to expand the room slightly. Otherwise, everything was terrific!

Excellent location with beautiful scenery but far away from town. Staff was very attentive. We arrived on a rainy day and was greeted by staff with umbrellas at the entrance to the hotel. The only bad point is that a taxi is needed to get anywhere on the island and cost 40 euros to get there from the ischia ferry port

Prime location with perfect sea waters to swim in. Pool side restaurant served high quality foods and maitre d’ by the name of Salvatore deserves special mention. Spa facilities were excellent.

The best place!
Mezzatorre wasn't absolutely fantastic and I can't recommend a place more. The staff was so fantastic and accommodating. The hotel is so beautiful it is unreal. The food was delicious (and the breakfast spread, my god)! I am already dreaming of my next stay at Mezzatorre.

From the moment you pass through the gate to the driveway you know you've arrived into another world. The service was impeccable from the front desk to the restaurants, with a special mention to Pasquale, the shuttle bus driver. The food was outstanding. The hotel is a bit far from anything else which can be a good thing or a bad, that depends on you. There is a shuttle to take you into the nearest town, Lacco Ameno but it's not easy to walk anywhere outside of the hotel. However, the grounds of this place are so beautiful, you might not want to leave.

I highly recommend the Mezzatore for 2-3 nights at the begging of a multi-city trip along the coast as it is the perfect place to rest and relax after traveling. The property itself is beautiful with a pool on a cliff overlooking the ocean, and the staff could not be any nicer. They do everything possible to make you feel at home. Breakfast is complimentary and very good. Lots of menu options for lunch that can be purchased at the pool. Diner in the main dining room was a nice experience with the live piano music and view. Again, the wait staff was top notch during all dining experiences. They all speak proficient English. Our bed was very comfortable and the property seemed very clean and well maintained. As is true for most places along the coast, there is not much to do in the event of rain. The hotel is located at the Northwestern tip of the island and their shuttle bus (van) has only one stop in a nearby village with a limited schedule.

We loved the hotel the location with the amazing vistas the bar tender was fabulous the front desk staff was amazing we got awesome recommendations for food at other restaurants. The only complaint was the spa treatments being less than what was expected. The staff booking the spa treatments was very attentive and personable. I highly recommend the thermal pools, well worth it!!!!!!

Truly deserves the 5-Star rating.
The location gives genuine privacy amid superb facilities and amenities--it's the staff! Close enough to the towns to allow a relatively short and picturesque walk. The ocean views are incomparable! We stayed during the middle of September and the weather was wonderful. The breakfast is overwhelmingly great; again it's the staff! Transportation support to/from the town is very convenient and relatively frequent.

Disgusting rooms and management just doesn't care
My room was disgusting. I found hair and dried snot from previous occupants in the bathroom and my sheets had black stains from mold. In the hotel restaurants I often found myself cleaning food from the chairs so my girlfriend could sit. I could see all this as an unfortunate series of oversights had the hotel staff and management been responsive to these issues, but unbelievably they were not. Instead they were hostile and dismissive of legitimate and obvious issues of cleanliness. Shockingly, they attack customers for pointing out the hotel's failures. Pause for a moment and think about spending a significant sum on a hotel and being greeted by the previous occupants dried snot and hair. Consider whether you want to stay in a hotel where these sorts of issues are dismissed as "nothing at all" by management. I would never under any circumstances return to the Mezzatore or recommend the hotel to others. Again, I caution you against booking the Mezzatore. (Please see photos; I do not have images of the snot because when I arrived, I was so completely mortified to bring my girlfriend into a hotel like this, I quickly cleaned it myself. Big mistake. Take photos as evidence of everything you see at this hotel! Also, be prepared for personal attacks and threats from management).

My husband and I stayed at the Mezzatore before traveling around Italy and it was so much more than we imagined. From the minute we arrived, it was the best experience. The service was outstanding. The food was great, the spa was excellent, the poolside experience was perfect and the location was superb. The hotel is an old castle that sits atop a hill overlooking the water. The front desk helped arrange a boat with a captain that took us around the island for the day. It was sublime. I highly recommend staying at this hotel!

Just returned from a 4 day break from this beautiful hotel. If you are looking for a total chill out this hotel is an ideal escape, stunning location and views and extremely charming staff team. I feel this hotel is ideal for couples or adults but not children. We celebrated my partners birthday in the restaurant, and he was surprised with a lovely cake and candles. The food at both breakfast and dinner was lovely, at breakfast there was a selection of everything from local cheeses, meats and fruit, my partner ordered eggs benedict which were beautiful. The dinner menu was small but ample and very good, I would recommend the 'catch of the day'. There is an extensive wine list and the semelia was helpful and knowledgable. All in all highly recommendable.

Staff was wonderful. Hotel exceeded my expectations, although I'd rate it more like a 4.5 rather than a 5 star. The reason for is that the gym was very old, the elevator was tiny tiny and very slow, and the beds were not that comfortable. The hotel is quite a walk from the main center of town, although it's not too far from some very good restaurants. It's also across the street from a laundromat! Pool was nice, views are gorgeous. I'd stay there again!

Our most beautiful vacation to date
Mezzatorre Resort and Spa is in a spectacular location on a cliff overlooking the Mediterranean. The staff is most helpful, polite and cheerful, especially in the restaurant. We had a room in the bungalows, surrounded by trees, jasmin and rosemary bushes with their lovely smell. The only sounds we heard were the songs of birds and the ocean. We loved every breakfast on the terrace overlooking the sea, and being spoiled by the friendly staff. The dinners at night were spectacular in quality and atmosphere. The spa treatments with heated sea water were an additional pleasure. Due to the relatively isolated location of the hotel it is advisable to use the services of a taxi, if one wants to see more of Ischia. For this we can highly recommend "Ischiataxi", whose owner Franco Dimeglio is very knowledgeable and reliable. He speaks German and English and corresponds in both languages.
