“Adequate for our purpose...”

We were in town to shop, so we wanted to save money on a hotel. It was inexpensive but older. Room was clean and serviceable. We didn't go to the continental breakfast so can't comment on that. Bed pretty firm...Only real downfall was the water was brown/rusty. Once we ran it for a while it went clear again. We took showers but were hesitant. If you're looking for something fancy, I wouldn't recommend, but if you want some place to lay your head for the night and inexpensive, here you go...

Area recommendations
North Conway village is great for shopping and eating.

“bring your own decaf”

the room was very basic but clean. They do not understand however, that some people cannot drink regular coffee. A very disorganized and run on a shoe-string place.

“Sad Experience”

We chose this motel in deeperation as the last available place to stay near Conway at a very busy time in the fall "leaf peeping" season. The people who ran it were very pleasant and probably did the best they could with an older, run down property. Located off the main road it was difficult to find and the room had a "tacky" appearance with a musty smell that remained in our clothes after we left. . Breakfast and coffee were located in the main office in a seperate building up a hilll, some distce from the room. It served as a bed and bathroom, but we did not find it up to the standards that customarily deserve a 5 rate and we would not choose to stay there again..

Area recommendations
There are other, much nicer appearing properties in the area. If you are planning a trip to this area in October to enjoy the fall colors, by all means make your reservations early. We were advised to do this but procrastinated until late and this had to pay the price.
When to go
Check on line to find the best times for the best Fall Colors. We did this and even so were a bit late.. The leaves don't follow any distinct time line, but ealy October is a reasonably safe bet.

“Quaint but deteriorating”

A little removed from town centre, lacking amenities at time of our stay, maybe they were planning on closing for the season ?? But clean and we got a nights lodging for a budget price.

“You get what you pay for”

This is a "You get what you pay for" hotel. Its cheap. Two windows were cracked, tiny TV, small bathroom with foil pouch shampoo that were to hard to open. I was also on the lower level of the hotel and the room above was loud. But the bed was comfortable and the location is great for any of the local Mt Washington attractions. The front desk service was good and they offered a small free breakfast menu.

“Quiet and Peaceful”

Beautifull scenery, quiet and peaceful area with woods, mountains and streams. Not far from North Conway shopping area or Mt. Washington. Snow on the mountains perfect as a picture postcard. Nights were cool and days warm. Clear nights the stars and constellations looked as though you could just reach up and touch them. Morning coffee out on the balcony starts the day out right! Would definitely stay again. Chalet had clean rooms, inroom refrigerator, tv, phone, heat and a/c and friendly people.

Area recommendations
There are all kinds of places to shop in North Conway, good restaurants or fast food places.
