Basic rooms and a bit dated, but very clean and comfortable, and excellent rates. Fantastic location--walking distance to old town. Free parking a block away was a bonus.

Hotel Engl location was convenient. Christine was very helpful and knowledgeable. Our accommodations were clean and they had an elevator which was very good for people with disabilities. We were pleased with the breakfast that was provided. We would stay there should we return to Innsbruck.

Basic and simple.
As a 3 star hotel it ticks all the necessary boxes. We were allocated the guest house which was newly renovated, painted and furnished. It was clean, simple and basic with secure underground parking. There was no TV, no kettle, no fridge, no communal room with facilities, just the room. The hotel is just across the river from the old town. The breakfast was basic continental fare located in the Hotel complex. The Guest House is 90metres down the road - not good if it was raining. We were not given a choice of accommodation in the hotel or guest house. Not real value for money, however Innsbruck is a very touristy town.

Super friendly, helpful staff. Nice room & comfy beds. NB. In Austria/Germany a double bed ‘is’ twins together with separate duvets...get used to it. Brekkie fresh & tasty. Would happily stay again.

What is more important - sleep or location?
Decent breakfast and efficient check in. Parking is i0m away in a far tight underground car park and there is resistance to leaving the car beyond 1pm. Negatives are a very hot bedroom, linen not cotton to make it hotter and the tiniest bathroom. While a great location I would not stay in the same room.

Great overnight stop + superb breakfast
We stayed at this quite central hotel en route driving back home from central italy. It was easy to find although finding anywhere nearby to unload and check in was an issue. Check in was good and we were directed to their nearby free secure parking - good but seemingly limited as we got last but one spot. Whilst not a moan about here but why do NO European hotels have kettles? No bar open no nearby cafe and after 10 hours on road gasping for a cuppa tea or a coffee!!! Excellent breakfast with great choice especially fresh fruit and strong coffee to help get ready for next 10 hours on road. I could also see this as ideal mini break in this lovely city. Thoroughly recommended.

Great place to stay
Location was great. Easy walk to the town along the river. Such a pretty city and heaps to do. Staff were friendly. We stayed in the new building with underground parking which was only a few meters up the road from the original hotel. Beds were a little uncomfortable. Would defiantly stay here again.

Friendly hotel at the edge of town
Location is across the Inn River from the center of town, but there are lots of shops and restaurants nearby, a few opening late. Innsbruck is small and highly walkable. There is an advantage to being on the "edge" of town -- you get nice views of the Alps just walking a quarter mile north of the hotel. On the other hand, after a morning of sightseeing, I took awhile to get back to the hotel to retrieve my luggage before going back into town for my afternoon train. Front door is locked in the evening, so you'll need a key. There is someone at the desk until 10 p.m. to check you in. Not clear what happens if you arrive later. I got there earlier and was greeted by friendly staff. My only complaint is the room felt cramp. I expect this size in big cities with pricey real estate; hotels in small cities tend to be roomier. But I didn't spend too much time in the room in any case. Innsbruck had lots to see.

The hotel was in walking distance of the old town of Innsbruck, quiet area. Check in & out fine breakfast was fine. The cereal had been left out all night without being covered which I thought was not a good idea. The rooms where warm & comfortable the bathroom was very small but all ok for one night.

Great location
We stayed here for 4 days and found the staff very friendly and helpful, the location was perfect for our needs, with transportation close by and an easy walk to restaurants and local businesses.

We were given a room that was small and noisy. We decided to ask for a change after ten mins in the room but was made to pay €20 because we had used the toilet and thrown a few pieces of tissue into the bin. Wifi in the room was also weak and troublesome as it expires every two hours and we have to get a new password from the reception. Staff are helpful with directions. Breakfast was sufficiently good for a small hotel. There's a supermarket 100m up the road and the Old Town is a 15 mins walk across the River Inn.

Our stay
The staff was very accommodating. They were friendly and helped make our stay more enjoyable. Parking was 3 doors away. Breakfast was included. It was good. Small hotel, and about a 10 minute walk across the bridge to the old town.

Stayed one night at Hotel Engl in Innsbruck. It was clean and the staff was very nice and helpful. They had secure parking down the street and a great breakfastime.

Highly recommend Hotel Engl
We traveled throughout 5 countries on this visit to Europe, stayed in many hotels & pensions & without a doubt Hotel Engl is the one that stands above the rest. It is a modern, immaculately cleaned & maintained, very comfortable hotel in an excellent location in Innsbruck. Owner and all staff were very helpful. Reasonable price, air conditioned & elevator/lift. Price even includes hot breakfast in nice dining room. We will definitely stay here again & I would highly recommend it to others.

Beautiful location and friendly staff.
The hotel is located on a lovely street with the snow covered mountains just above. Nice to walk along the river to the Christmas markets and the city center. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. They gave us very good suggestions on how to get to the top of the mountains.

Lovely friendly hotel in ideal location
Came back for a second time as we had enjoyed last year so much. Just for a short break for the Christmas markets. Ideal location, just 5 minutes into the heart of things. Lovely clean room, nice breakfast with plenty of choice. Helpful staff. When we got home realised we had left the charger for the shaver behind, phoned them and they had found it, gave credit card details and received email the next day saying they had posted it and charged the card. Very efficient. Would definitely stay again.

Not worth the money
Beds and shower need replacing. Noisy location, staff not very friendly heard the word schlecter in their conversation and I remember that as meaning bad. Not a good value at 84 euros w/o breakfast.

Central Location. Nice Hotel
Very nice stay at this hotel. Helpful reception staff who spoke good English. Excellent location just the other side of the river from Innsbruck old town and the start of the excellent funicular and cable car trip. Excellent buffet breakfast which included scrambled eggs and bacon. Twin beds pushed together and very warm room. Excellent shower.

Enjoyable Experience
Used for a 3 night stopover. Staff were courteous and helpful. Room was clean and had all the necessary facilities. Breakfast was adequate without being over bearing or sparse. It was very handy to have access to secure parking and being within walking distance of the city.

Hotel near the center
Hotel is located in close walk from the inner city center. It's possible to walk all the way to center next to river Inn through a park. Double room was clean and spacious, but I could have used a drawer to put my luggage. Breakfast was good. Only minus is that the hotel reception closes early (11pm weekdays) and you have to organize the check in according to reception times or contact them separately and agree alternative solution. They were flexible when I arrived later and I'm grateful for that.

The hotel is centrally located. Rooms are clean but just have the essentials and are quite small. We really missed the air conditioning even with the windows open it was quite stuffy and the traffic noise was disturbing. For breakfast, there is a delicious variety of cakes and fruits. The wifi was a bit painful and you need to log in every time. It got cut off 3 hours before our actual check out time. The location is convenient with a bus stop just outside the hotel.

Great Location
This hotel was right across the bridge from the main downtown area of Innsbruck. The room was small, but that is common for Europe. The shower and bathroom were very nice and clean. The included breakfast was very well done and offered many different choices. The only issue we had with this hotel was the lack of free wifi- for the price per night, we thought that was a reasonable request. Overall, a very nice experience.

Easy to find, close to old part of town, but motel room for 3 was too small. Would be ok for couple only. Room clean however bathroom, shower head broken, not the cleanest we've stayed in. Breakfast was just ok, a little less on offer than others & juice issued by small glass by waitress. Carparking was interesting (not as described on hotels.com) it was about 500mtrs from motel in open lot between two buildings. Not secured. no parking at hotel. Only room for about the first 10cars, however no charge. Prob would recommend this room only for one night stop over for single or couple. Not suitable for family or romantic couple.

This place is over rated
If you are looking for an inexpensive hotel that is near old town, then this place is for you. However, the bedroom was very small. It reminded me of the bedroom in our RV. Most rooms face a busy street, which is fine unless it is warm. It was warm while we were there. So, we had to have the windows open. The traffic noise went on ALL NIGHT. On our first night, there were several drunks fighting outside our hotel at 3 am when the beer garden accross the street closed. Skip the resturant. The one meal we ate there was uninspriring and it is closed on the weekends. The hotel includes free parking at their sister facility up the street. However, the spaces are as small as the bedroom! You get what you pay for!

Freundlich und zentral gelegen
Die Zimmer sind schon in die Jahre gekommen (Haupthaus) und sind relativ klein. Jedoch hat es freundliches Personal, ist zentral gelegen und ein feines Frühstück - für uns passt es jedes Mal wieder sehr gut.
