“Excellent modern hotel in old part of town”
The Penz Hotel in Innsbruck is a beautiful, modern hotel in the heart of old Innsbruck. The rooms are comfortably designed though a bit compact as most European hotels tend to be in comparison to US hotels. Nevertheless, my wife and I found it to be very comfortable. It is very conveniently located to the major sights in Innsbruck. The only time we needed to use our rental car was to drive 30 minutes south to the Stubaier Gletscher to go skiing, and we could have taken a convenient bus instead. We walked all around the center of Innsbruck from this hotel. Shopping and dining surrounds the hotel, and the hotel's restaurant is excellent. The breakfast buffet selection was extensive and the restaurant has panoramic views of Innsbruck and the surrounding Alps. Service is very friendly and helpful. Wireless internet is available throughout the hotel and is free. They have discounted parking in the public garage under the hotel. Negatives are minor - the double bed, as is the case in most German-area hotels, is like two twin mattresses pushed together, and they don't seem to have a doorman or bell staff to help with your luggage. We found this last point surprising in a hotel at this price point and star rating. Those are truly minor issues in a hotel that is outstanding otherwise and we would be happy to return. A great hotel unless you're looking for a more traditional Tyrolian Alpine design in your hotel.

super Hotel! Das komplette Hotel ist sehr sauber, hell und modern gestalltet. Das Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Das Frühstück lässt keine Wünsche übrig. Zentrale Lage trotzdem sehr ruhig. Parkmöglichkeit direkt am Hotel (öffentliche Tiefgarage mit direktem Zugang zum Hotel)
