“Great hotel with great service!”

Very good hotel in the very convenient location , just one min distance to the train station and easy to get the tourist area by walk or bus.

“Very good standards but if you're looking for good value then its not your place”

if you get a good deal on the room then go for it. However extras like dinner at the restaurant (which is top notch in innsbruck) and room service (2 bottles of still water cost 14 EUR to my surprise) will accumulate. Free internet is decent but iTunes download would take a long time especially for movies (3-5 hrs). The room's tv is very limited in terms of channels and you cant watch movies (or connect to the tv's AUX since its flat panel and you have no access to the inputs at the back) but that is not a problem if you dont intend on spending lots of time in the room. Service is friendly and for a comfort cat like myself i would stay there again in innsbruck. The new rooms feel clean and new.

“Modern comfort and convenience in Innsbruck”

The Grand Hotel Europe is a very nice modern hotel in the center of Innsbruck next to the railway station. Although modern and comfortable, it doesn't have a huge amount of charm, and could be qualified a bit as a "business hotel". Very good service, large comfortable rooms and a well-stocked buffet breakfast. It's location is very central and it's a very short walk to the "old-town" (Altstadt) which has interesting architecture, eateries and attractions. It worked very well for us for a short on our way to other locations in Austria and northern Italy.

Area recommendations

In Innsbruck, the most interesting area is the old-town "Altstadt" with numerous restaurants, pedestrian streets, lots of shops and boutiques. Also we would recommend taking the cable car up to either one of the two peaks nearby, for spectacular views and an alpine experience (we were here in June, the winter must be a very active skiing community).

“Mike From Jersey”

There are three types of rooms. I opted for the middle level which was the best room I have ever had in a hotel. It was huge, comfortable and clean. The hotel is located near that train station which is convenient but there is no noise at all. You can't even hear cars on the street. The room was so quiet that it was almost spooky. The continental breakfast was excellent, diverse and ample. On the negative side, there is no real concierge service. You can ask people at reception for help but there is not really a concierge. Second, the WIFI did not extend to the fifth floor where I had my room and I had to go into the lobby to use it at all. Finally, a couple of the staff members were rude. Much of the staff was quite nice but a couple were downright rude. Nonetheless I would recommend the hotel and would stay there again.

“Really Good Hotel Restaurant”

The hotel had a restaurant in it and it was excellent. My only complaint as an International traveler would be that the hotel indicates 24 hour room service and there was only the night desk clerk to fulfill that role. I would like the convenience of the 24 hour room service due to I was awake at odd hours trying to adjust to the time change.

“luved the Innsbruck experience”

Excellent location.. across the street from the main train/bus station.. very clean and trendy modern rooms.. really enjoyed the sauna/steam after a long day of snow boarding.. informative and friendly staff.. probably a bit pricey though.. its more like a 4 stars.. i donno why they have a 5 stars rating.. and i wasnt able to control the heater in my room.. big disadvantage.. TV sets are really old and u get only 2 english channels.. the rest are german
