An example of new style boutique accom popping up around the place. Fairly basic in many ways, but a modern twist on minimilist, ultra clean accom with all the things you need for a short stay. I wouldn't be keen on this style of hotel for anything more than a few nights, the rooms aren't big enough or comfortable enough. You can see the strategy behind the establishment - no creature comforts, just the bare essentials delviered in a contemporary street grunge style environment. It hits you as soon as you walk in off the street. May not be to all tastes, but it is good and the staff are nice. Probably not ideal for families, more suited to short business trips and couples not looking for plush. Only issue I had was the iron in my roon tripped the stafety switch so had to start the day with creased shirt. boo for me.
I stayed at the hotel to attend a function and then to meet family members for dinner. The location was very suitable for both. It was within easy walking distance of the station and close to the dinner venue.
My room was comfortable and spotlessly clean; the kitchenette was well-supplied with china, glasses etc.
The staff were pleasant and very friendly. Noticing that I had waited quite a long time for a taxi on a rainy night, a lovely lady involved with the hotel drove me to the dinner venue herself. Such kindness is rarely encountered.
Nice quite room couldn't hear the traffic which was good for a good night's sleep. Liked the fact that I could open the door in the morning for some fresh air. Think the tv could be a bit bigger as with poor eye sight it was hard to read the menu from the bed. Staff were all very lovely and helpful. But for the cold weather there I enjoyed my stay. Thankyou regards Sharyn from the Tweed Coast.
This broad region west of downtown encompasses dozens of Sydney's suburbs and has plenty to offer. Neo-Gothic architecture abounds on the stately campus of the University of Sydney, Australia's oldest university. Five Docks is known for its Italian immigrant population, as well as cafes and delis. Meanwhile, Ashfield is home to Syndey's Chinatown, also known as Little Shanghai.
