“Public Transport Challenge”

This was good value for money although the building is in need of refurbishment and the staff, mostly european young men, need training. We chose to use public transport which is wonderful on Skye but you really need to be based in Portree to make the most of it. Food in Kyleakin was not great but a trip across the bridge to Kyle of Lochalsh provided a good basic alternative at the Kyle Hotel. A few miles further inland is Plockton which is not only beautiful but has 'foody' food.

La struttura è datata e si vede, le camere non sono troppo confortevoli sulle finestre c'era muffa di umidità dovuta dal posto è vero ma una pulita poteva essere meglio

Wie man an der Bewertung sieht,ist es wirklich schwer zu beurteilen. Das Hotel sollte mal ordentlich renoviert werden, dann wird es ein Schmuckkästchen.Alles wirkt etwas altertümlich, Charme der 60er Jahre. Die Zimmer sind klein, man hat Angst, dass die Fenster aus dem Rahmen fallen, das Bad sollte unbedingt einen neuen Fussbodenbelag erhalten.Es war aber alles sehr sauber,alle Geräte (Handtuchwärmer!!) funktionierten.Das Frühstück war sehr gut,sollte man unbedingt mitbuchen.Das Personal war sehr freundlich,höflich und dabei aber auch unkompliziert. Setzen Sie sich mal in den Aufenhaltsraum.Flair der 50/60er umweht Sie. Für 1-2 Tage kann man buchen, dafür gilt meine Empfehlung, längerer Auffenhalt ist eher nicht zu empfehlen.
