The location is perfect, so close to the bridge to head over to the other side and not a long walk from many places to see. We had some interesting housekeeping while we were there. We left for the day and when we came back our room was never cleaned, we always had to call down for them to make up our room. The restaurant downstairs (Paris something), is really good and the service and quality is amazing. I highly recommend eating there for lunch or dinner and definitely grab a seat on the patio and relax. It is a great view.
Iberostar is a very nice hotel - fantastic location and very nice rooms. My only complaint is that I had specifically requested a room with twin beds (which was an option in the drop down box on the website), as I was travelling with a friend. When we arrived, we found that the room had a king size bed. On querying this, we were informed that they did not have any rooms with twin beds. I found this quite misleading as we had eliminated other hotels at the booking stage, which were at least honest enough to admit that twin beds were not an option. The hotel staff acknowledged that the website is misleading, but didn't offer to do anything about it. This should be fixed up so that other people travelling together, but not sleeping together, don't fall into the same trap.
We loved the location! Rooms are small, but clean! Staff is helpful and friendly. Our only complaint is the thin walls! You really can hear everything what's going on in your neighbors' room. Unfortunately our neighbors liked to talk - starting at 4am, so we got very little rest!
The hotel was clean but very small rooms. staff also lacking in communication skills, had a minor issue with the room which was resolved after I complained. All in all not bad hotel and again great location.
The hotel has an excellent location, 2 minutes walk to a tram and the Grand Central Market and the river danube. It is right on Vaci so perfect for shopping. The hotel however does not have tea and coffee making facilities although a kettle and cups can be requested at reception but no actual tea or coffee. The room also did not have an iron or ironing board which I would expect both to be readily available with 4* hotels.
On the eastern side of the Danube, Pest is Buda’s flatter, edgier cousin. Tree-lined Andrassy Avenue was originally designed as Budapest’s answer to the Champs-Elysees. Heroes’ Square lies at the eastern end of Andrassy Avenue and is home to the impressive Millennium Monument. Hungarian gifts, food, and souvenirs can be found in Pest’s multi-storey Great Market Hall, the largest in Budapest.
