“Very nice”
Great service... great location... close to everything.
“Not Impressed”
This hotel speaks of having a dress code and an upscale feel, but it is not. Firstly, our room was not available on time. It was about 1 hour late and there were other guest in the same situation. They said the hotel was full, but I hardly saw any significant guest activity and so I do not believe that was the case. The valets and desk workers were dressed but their clothes did not fit or were no well kept. The lighting was dark. The lobby area has really nice leather chairs to relax on. The room has an old feel to it. The TV was a 1980s style CRT and the screen was fuzzy. At one time it had vertical hold issues and so we turned if off and just watched using out laptop. The shower was small and hard to maneuver in. There was nothing luxury about the hotel, and definitely nothing that should warrant the exclusivity air that they have because it is associated with a private club. Also, they don't have any transportation services to an from the airport and the taxi system in Indy is kinda scarce. There are much better places to stay.
“A historic location in the middle of the city.”
The only problem was that only one elevator was working for 10 floors! Very slow.
“Disappointed in the room”
This Hotel is no doubt a very nice place, it has all the character that you would expect from a building this old. The meal was perfect in the lounge,, the drinks were great but I was very disappointed in the clenliness of the room. If I would have noticed the issues when I first arrived in the room I would have asked to be moved to another. The bathroom floor had not been cleaned, there was dental floss laying in the corner and pieces of what looked like plaster on the floor. The air in the room was extremely dry, like most hotels are. All in all I would go back only for the simple reason of the location and the character of the building.
“big let down”
room was small and ugly....no hot water in tub only in sink...lobby was pretty but the room was so dated that even in its time i would say it was a let down....paid top $ to stay here since everything was booked for colts game...never again
“Great Place To Stay”
The hotel was beautifully decorated for the holidays. The staff was friendly and it was convenient to everything we wanted to do!
“A little dated”
If you're expecting a hotel with the modern comforts you've come to expect - like refrigerators, microwaves, counter space in the bathroom, high ceilings, large rooms, soundproofing, then this hotel is not what you are looking for. The building is a beautiful historic spot right on Monument Circle and was probably at the height of comfort and fashion when it was built. You can't ask for a more affordable, better location in downtown Indianapolis.
“Rooms need updates”
I know this is a beautiful and established club, but I did expect the rooms to be in better shape. Our room had old fixtures, including an old TV, etc. Stains on carpeting, etc. For a "posh" club I expected nicer.
“"Don't go during race time!"”
The hotel itself was beautiful, the room was very clean, bathroom and shower large and nice. We went to Indy for the motorcycle race and were greeted with a massive amount of bikes on the square which prohibited us from being able to drive up to the front of our hotel, where we would've seen that they had valet parking. Instead, we had to park 2 blocks away in a garage, only to walk back to the garage once we checked in, to have our car valet parked in another garage. The staff was very mindful and very courteous. We were on the top floor of rooms and heard the loud music playing until the early morning hours on the floor above us, which was obviously some kind of lounge. We were also facing the street, where all the noise from the motorcycle riders was coming from. The air conditioner was so loud that it did drown out a little of the noise, but the room was definitely anything but quiet.
“Columbia Club Do Not Stay there”
For a Motel 6 this would have been ok but it's not Motel 6 there was no HOT Water in the morning I thought that the rooms would have Flat Screen TV not something you could find in the trash the beds I thought would be a pillowtop matters they need to update these rooms the bathroom was not clean the floor looked like it needed moped there was a stain on the carpet just not what I thought it would be for the price we paid. I glad it was for just 1 night I could not have stayed there for more than that.
