Super charming and comfortable accommodations. Staff was great, wifi was fast, loved the snacks available late night, and breakfast was very nice. The staff recommended a restaurant an 8 min walk away and it was also excellent.

We were in town for the Indianapolis Monumental Marathon. The Looking Glass Inn was close (6 minute drive) to the start of the race. No traffic on race morning. Plus, it is close to restaurants for the night before. The neighborhood is beautiful, and we will stay here again!

A day in Indianapolis
The bed and breakfast was in a good location. The breakfast was disappointing, it was comparable to a continental breakfast at a motel. The service was non-existent. We felt this place was not worth the price.

We are sorry to hear you didn't enjoy our inn. Our continental breakfast offers a selection of pastries, yogurts, cereals, juices, coffee, tea, hard boiled eggs, waffles, breakfast bars, milk and breads for toasting. Everything is fresh and prepared daily.

I liked everything except cleaning in our room. Overall it was fine. But I was not expecting some dust flying in the cupboard. In my judgment cleaning person should have cleaned entire room including the closet. When I wiped the floor of the closet with the paper towel we brought towel was black. I expected the towel in front of the bathroom will be changed everyday. I don't like stepping on dirty towel after the shower. Our towels were not changed. We appreciate it, we like ecofriendly persons/B&Bs. We were quite careful keeping our towels clean using paper towels we brought to clean certain parts of the body so that towel is clean to use for a couple of days. But it is difficult to keep the towel in front of the shower clean, in my judgment in needs to be changed every day. However as I indicated in my evaluation, overall property was very good 4.5/5 It would have been excellent 5/5 had they addressed two easy points I pointed out above. Breakfast was great, overall the premise was in a very good condition. It was a pleasant stay. We really appreciate no smoking facility. Cleanliness is very important for us.

We would love to have had that extra rating from you. Please don't hesitate to ask in future for anything to be refreshed and re-cleaned if not to your liking. It is our policy that if towels are hanging, we do not replace them. We would always be happy to replace your bathmat upon request.

Cozy Stay
This is our second stay and we loved this room too! In fact 2 other members of my family stayed here and we got to see other rooms - which were lovely. This is just a great, cozy, family-friendly place to stay.

I liked the house structure, it was beautiful. Old houses are expensive to upkeep -- at some time windows on this house may need updated. The bathtub --jacuzzi & shower combo were difficult to climb in and out of.

Nice older home. very nice continental breakfast but not your typical homemade breakfast at a bed-and-breakfast. located in a nice and quiet neighborhood of Indianapolis.

We are so happy you are enjoying the inn. All inns are different with their breakfast offerings. Some send you out of the house with vouchers for nearby coffee shops, some do a multi-course meal, some offer continental and we offer a continental plus. We have an assortment of pastries, oatmeal, waffles, fruits, teas, coffees, cereals, yogurt, juices and boiled eggs. Our breakfast is complimentary with your room stay. We also offer in room Keurigs and popcorn for your enjoyment.

Has potential but missed the mark
I booked this place because I wanted to be sure that we could ensure a sound rest and enjoy a good breakfast in the morning. The inn is beautiful and clearly a lot of work went into upgrading it and making it visitor friendly. However, there were some expectations on our part that we’re not met. First, the pros: it’s very cozy, and the jetted bathtub was great. I also appreciated having some toiletries to include bath salts, which were a nice touch. There was free popcorn and filtered water available too which was also great. Next, the cons: there was not an extra blanket to be found anywhere and no phone in the room to call the front desk (or anyone for that matter). The bed in the Gold Room was much too soft; for the price you pay, it’s not too much to ask for a mattress that doesn’t sag in the middle. I don’t know if we didn’t get any sleep because the bed was too soft, because we were cold and couldn’t find an extra blanket, or if it was because of the paper-thin walls and noisy neighbors. We had high hopes for breakfast but that fell short as well. There were waffles but no syrup, a tray of berries with no utensils to scoop them, and a variety of cereals with nothing to get them out of their jar either. I'm not sure if the individually wrapped bagels and things were for the benefit of those on the go or because of covid, but it would've been nice to have fresh breads, hot item choices, and maybe a few other things like fresh squeezed juice to truly deserve a 10.

Thank you for the 8 stars! We would love to earn the extra 2 on future visits. We will look into the breakfast utensil issues as soon as possible. Staffing constraints however prevent us from offering the hot breakfast you are seeking. We continue to advertise but just cannot get workers. The mattress is new so we will investigate asap. In future, please don't hesitate to call us for blankets, to hush noisy neighbors or anything you need. We love to make guests happy. As for phones, the hotel industry has been doing away with them since cell phones are so prevalent. We took out our phone system about 10 years ago. Sorry.

Riley hospital visit

Perfect Place
This place is a dream! It is absolutely gorgeous, well-stocked, warm and homey. We sat on the front porch chatting with family well into the evening and retired to a cozy, spotless room with adjoined bath. Perfect. I actually can['t wait to come back - try stay in all the different rooms! Loved our stay!

Our experience started with a warm welcome from Duane (whose name I hope I have spelled correctly). The common areas were great and the room was comfortable and calm. The location is good, within walking distance of many needed resources. The only weakness was due to the pandemic rules that meant instead of a warm breakfast in the common area, we were treated to a basket of foods by our door. Not the fault of the staff, but I will be happy once we can go back to the norm.

Loved the rose room. Very peaceful place. Breakfast basket wasnt very good but that's okay. The workers could have been better as well but the place was beautiful and i really enjoyed my stay.

I loved all of the furniture, decorations, stained glass windows, continental breakfast and the very nice owner was patient and kind. I loved having a fob-key to the house to have the freedom to come and go. It was very quiet in the house. The bathroom tile was stylish and fit the overall theme. I would recommend this Bed & Breakfast to everyone.

The property was clean and the staff was friendly. I enjoyed sitting in the rockers on the front porch in our free time. Nice, safe neighborhood, safe close free parking also.

Upon check in no one available. After ringing door bell several minutes some girl with attitude showed up. Room was not stock only two towels and one wash cloth for four people. Coffee but no cups. Shower/tub clogged and desk manager was nasty about getting it fixed. Very rude and nasty. Booked two nights but only stayed one, left and went elsewhere with on refund from them.

We are saddened to see this platform is being used to spread misinformation. Our innkeepers live on-site. In the event they are in other parts of the inn, a phone number is posted at our reception desk. Each room has a guest directory which also includes phone numbers. Someone is always available to meet guest needs - we do limit contact in times of COVID. This group violated our occupancy guidelines and put 5 people into a 4 person room in spite of fire code regulations. The room was fully stocked for the number of guests registered to the room. When the clog was reported at 9pm, we immediately contacted our staff to address the situation. The guests would not let us back into the room. They did not stay at another hotel/inn. They went home as confirmed by the spouse who made the reservation for the 5 men.
