“Great old time feel”

I really liked this hotel. The outside is nothing special, but inside it is a converted train station. You can actually stay in a traincar.

“Average”

Not up front about parking, got there & they charged way to much for parking. Car was damaged in there parking lot. Way over priced for nights when sporting events are going on. If it wasn't for it beening very convenant, I wouldn't stay there again. It's got a great location, you can walk to almost everything you need.

“Left a lasting impression”

The converted rail station has combined historic value with the conveniences and comforts of a very good hotel. The rooms are a good size, very comfortable beds and the fitness centre is excellent. Well located, an easy walk downtown and to many restaurants. The valet was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would come back again without hesitation.

“Not Impressed”

Although the location was great and the hotel was unique with a lot of character, the rooms were rather run down. At first glance it looked nice but things such as a broken lock on bathroom door that if you closed door and no one was inside you were locked out of your bathroom, and floor lamp that was so wobbly that it could hardly stand are not the things you expect to find in a hotel at this price point. The trains during the night were another huge issue although the hotel did provide one pair of complimentary earplugs, this should have been a clue, although earplugs do nothing when the whole entire room is shaking.

“Already booked another stay”

Already booked another stay. We'll be back to Indy in March 2012. My son wanted to stay in one of the train cars this next time. Valet attendents and shuttle driver very helpful. We love you. Thanks.

My only complaint is the pillows in the room were not at all comfortable. The room is not worth the money, but the location is great.

“Good Stay”

Very nice service, stayed for the Indianapolis Marathon. It was in a super convenient location. My only complaint is that our room was right next to the indoor pool-kids screaming all night until about 1 a.m. Not quite sure why they weren't in bed and the pool was supposed to close at 10?! They offered Seattles Best coffee in the a.m. good stuff! Great staff, super helpful and friendly, definitely worth the $$$ and the atmosphere is unlike any other!

“very noisy, next to railroad tracks”

this hotel is next to a railroad track in downtown Indianapolis, connected with a convention center by sky walk; it is convenient if you are there for an event in the convention center, but depending in which end of this huge space you are, it may be a very long walk. the hotel is done in a train theme, most of the hotel rooms do not have outside windows but windows going out to an inside covered courtyard. if you are a train aficionado there is a train going along the hotel and there are rooms in the train you can stay in, which are done as old train accommodations for famous people in the old days (e.g. Rudolf Valentino). on check-in we were given a room next to a pool area at the basement with no windows, which we asked to get changes rigt away. we were given a room next to train tracks which we only realized at night when we were woken up by noise and shaking windows... not a good night. at our request we we were given another room facing the inside courtyard which was quiet. the hotel staff took care of the move to the new room, so they were accommodating. overall I do not recommend this hotel if you want to sleep at night.
