Thank you for your stay! We are changing the old outdoor pool area into a Dag Park that can be used year round. Our hotel dosn't advertize a pool and we wanted to put that area to good use as an added amenity to our future guests. I hope you will come back and see it once it is done.

Very clean, very nice staff, comfortable bed, my only complaint is we were in the very closest room to the check in desk which wouldn’t have been and issue but there were so many people being loud outside of our room until about 4 am!

That include pancakes made fresh per order, Cereals, fruits, yogurts, breads, Juice, Milk and Coffee. Super 8 dosn't have a full hot breakfast but we do provide is lite breakfast to get you day started.

Bedspread was so slick, whenever you'd roll over in bed, all the covers would end up on the floor. No blanket (I brought my own from previous experience there). I had to put luggage on bed to weigh down the bedspread and keep covers on the bed. I was there to deer hunt in the area. I went to breakfast area to get coffee to find that floor had been mopped with industrial cleaner and REEKED of cleaning smell. I couldn't get coffee because any deer within hundreds of yards would smell the cleaner on my boots/clothes. They did this EVERY morning even after I told them why it was a problem. There were many other hunters there at the same time that I'm sure felt the same way. Clean the floors another time of day.......Holy cow.

Brad,Thanks for choosing to stay with us. Unfortunately, the bed spreads that we have on each of our beds are Wyndham standard bed spreads. They are part of their requirements. I will provide your feeedback to them and see what we can do to change that. We do have blankets available at the hotel. Next time you come to Independence to hunt just let one of the front desk agents know if there isn't a blanket on the bed (all beds should have them and that was recently changed). As for the cleaning, that part is on me. I have my front desk agents who work overnight cleaning the floors prior to opening breakfast and then the morning shift cleans as needed as well as just after breakfast is closed (and then throughout the day as necessary to ensure the area is staying clean). I had not thought about hunting. However, if the floor is dry it shouldn't leave a smell on your shoes. I'll make sure that they are taking steps to get the floor dry quicker. Thanks for pointing that out!

Zero effert on the breakfast. Just enough to advertise they have one. Hardly stock what they do offer, unless you want the 2 cerals. Nicely remodeled rooms. 1 wash cloth per room. Very nice for price.

Could be the location. There was nothing to choose from for breakfast! There was a pancake maker machine, a loaf of bread and a toaster. Stale cereal, spoiled milk in the same container all week. The 3 of 4 days I didn’t even bother cause nothing looked clean and nothing was going to be done about it. I won’t be returning!

I am very sorry about the breakfast. At Super 8 we have a quick start breakfast. Pancakes in addition to the Super 8 required options. We have Cereal, Milk, Juice, fresh fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, and coffee just to name a few items. I will follow up with the team to ensure items are refreshed.

Staff was friendly and professional. Very clean but small room. Upgraded cable TV was a pleasant surprise. WiFi was also decent. Cleaner and better managed than some other Super 8’s I’ve stayed at.

We had an enjoyable, comfortable stay. The whole hotel was recently remodeled and everything looked fresh and clean. The front desk staff Ulysses was friendly and speedy. Our room had nice new furniture and most importantly, a very comfortable mattress. They had a pretty full breakfast with hot pancakes plus yoghurt and cereal so that was extra nice too. We’d definitely stay here again.

They had remodeled the lobby/breakfast area since the last time we had stayed there. That part looked very nice. My room on ground floor was not very clean. Shower insert was missing grab bar, had two holes in insert where bar had been. There was black "stuff" on the carpet in front of the heating/cooling unit and on the side of bedspread nearest the unit. I asked the desk clerk if there was a vacuum I could use. They gave me one, no offer to clean it (guess it's "self service") and said they'd "check the unit out" (don't know if that ever happened). I was there 5 nights. Second day, no trash pickup, no towels, had to go to desk (again) and ask for towels as I'd been gone all day and housekeeping was already gone. Lighting on backside of motel was so bright, I could have read a newspaper at night with lights off. Heating/cooling unit was so loud it would wake me up as it cycled (about every minute all night long). I had the choice of turning it completely off or changing to fan only which apparently acclimated to outside temp and by morning would drop inside temps to quite low. By the end of the 5 days I was pretty much sleep deprived. One day I was there quite a bit and it sounded like a WWF match upstairs. Housekeeping said they were remodeling the upstairs rooms. Hope they do the downstairs at some point. Doubt I'd stay there again any time soon.

Brad,I would like to express my apologies for your recent stay. We are undergoing re-modeling of the entire hotel. I have had the heating and cooling unit looked at for maintenance and PM. The issues that have been brought to my attention, have been discussed with housekeeping as well as maintenance.As we try our best to maintain our rooms while we have guests it was observed that there was a DND (Do Not Disturb) tag on your door handle as to why there was no housekeeping performed during your stay.I looked at the lights in the back and there are no lights that are pointing at the windows of the room that you were assigned. However I will look at the arrangement of the lighting and make proper adjustments. As mentioned previously we are undergoing re-modeling in the upstairs as well as the downstairs. I apologize for the noise that occurred. If you are in the area again I ask that you give us another chance as so you can personally the improvements and progress that have been made.

This property is disgusting & the people who run it are frauds & total complete liars! This reservation was made very last minute & for some reason I had a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach as soon as I hit reserve. I reserved the room for 4 nights so I just decided to tuff it out. I had come to town to help my son get settled in his dorm for college. Needless to say the so called general manager came banging on my door like a psycho. My son & I were so afraid to answer because we were wondering who it could be banging so frantically. I'm quietly looking out the peep hole. Asking what does she want & why I needed to open. Psycho lady finally identifies herself as the GM! Lol! So when I opened the door this lady yells at my son & myself telling me I had 20 minutes to leave their dump of a motel because we were smoking marijuana in the room!! Total LIES!! So I tells crazy lady this is untrue & for her to come in so that she can inspect the place but she refuses. Ok.. Im cool with leaving and I for sure didnt need 20 minutes to do so. By this time Im livid!! I had a few choice words for the lady & gladly left the trap. I had Orbitz call them to inquire about the incident hoping to get my money back and these thieves tell Orbitz that I wasnt getting a refund because I broke their policy! They are such liars! No one ever smoked anything in that nasty room. How on earth are you gonna accuse me of doing something I know I didnt do!! These people are lying FRAUDS!! college. Nee

Great staff at Super 8!
Asked for handicap room, it had flooding issues. Wanted 2 queens, got 1 queen. No bars in tub/shower, low toilet ( hate them). Staff was very, very nice. That was my only issue-not having handicap room.

Shower was nasty, had black private hair on the wall, the bottom of the walls had mold on them along with the shower curtain, the bed was hard and small flat pillows that smelled of smoke. The staff was helpful but didn’t supply a Wi-Fi password. The breakfast is a joke.

I did not like the fact that the morning breakfast was only coffee. Very disappointed. Had to go out for breakfast which cost me $11. the door to my room 132 had a gap of at least 1/2 to 1/2 inch.

I will check with staff about the dates of your stay to see what might have happened. I know supply chain issues have caused some limits. Just okay.
The staff worked hard to accommodate our stay but rooms were not pre-assigned as I thought they were. It worked out fine for us, but we were scattered throughout the hotel rather than grouped as I had asked. Breakfast was mediocre but understandable with remnants of Covid restrictions.
