This hotel is in a great location. Rooms on the ground floor are updated, with large shower stalls. Would be nice if they can landscape the views outside the windows of the groundfloor rooms. Rooms in the upper floors are large, and river view are the best - but they need updating, especially the bathrooms. On some, the shower knobs and faucets have corroded. The shower stalls do not have a ledge or soap dish for anything other than a single bar of teeny, tiny bar of soap. Time for the hotel to buy new bed linen and new towels. The staff in the hotel are very accomodating and very helpful. They have always been great!
The staff members must be commended for being helpful and accommodating and keeping customers feel at home. 90% of the staff members know how to smile and could be better if a few members of the staff can smile too. Staff should be aware that if the customer talk in Tagalog , the responses must be in Tagalog because not all customers can understand the ILonggo dialect. The beds are soft for us showing indication of overused.
The people were very friendly from the ladies at the front desk to the dining room staff. The complimentary breakfast buffet was outstanding with a great selection of local foods. The Gym had a lot of modern equipment that provided a great workout. There was different massage options that was provided but I limited my experience for just a few in room service, but if you want to relax and sleep well, it will certainly work away the stress. The room was very well kept and very comfortable. The only thing I was disappointed was there was no view to the outside. Ofcourse there are other rooms with a view, but apparently mine didn't have one. I was also a little disappointed with the internet availability in the room. You still had to pay for 1 to 5 hours internet access if you wanted to use your laptop. Of course the business center provided internet access computers for a minimal fee. They also had an internet Cafe on the second floor that provided internet access for 30 pesos for 1 hour. Not too bad. Over all, my stay was very nice and relaxing. I'd certainly recommend the Days Inn at Iloilo to any traveler.
Overall it was a nice and clean comfortable hotel. The key word is...Was....
I don't want to sound like a person that is bitter with my stay there.
Just that I requested to Extend my stay and see if the hotel could give me or
negotiate a promo rate if I stay for another 8 or 9 days.
After waiting for hours I did not get an answer and ended leaving and staying
at another hotel nearby.
