Lovely hotel!!

Posted 12-Sep-2014
Tropic Garden is a lovely hotel, especially if you have children. We have a 6 & 2 yr old and the evenings kids entertainment was always a highlight for our elder. The pool never feels crowded as it's so large and at meal times there is so much on offer that you'll never go hungry! We went for half board so breakfast and evening meals were included and we just popped across the road to the supermarket to buy lunch supplies. Santa Eulalia itself is a beautiful town with lots of nice bars and restaurants along the beach and marina if you fancy heading out for a meal. Would thoroughly recommend, we had a lovely week!

Lovely Stay

Posted 22-Apr-2014
The hotel is very clean and well-equipped situated in the lovely Santa Eulalia. Amazing buffet breakfast, good selection of bar drinks, supermarket just across the road, swimming pools sauna and gym. Rooms were very clean, if not a little dated. Nice spacious balcony and kitchen facilities a bonus. Also, hot water for a decent shower. Would definitely stay again. Check out the hidden Babylon Beach bar. Turn right as you walk out of the hotel and walk to the end of the road. You will find the bar there, a little taste of paradise.

Just arrived home after 5 days at the apart tropic hotel had a lovely time and will definitely be back. Hotel was great, staff were all really friendly. All inclusive was definitely worth it's money food wasn't too bad could of been better but could of been a whole lot worse. Would recommend doing all inclusive if planning on going as good and drink within hotel very expensive otherwise. Great kids club and activities perfect for families.

Ok Hotel.

The hotel was ok for what we needed. The food was very good, the apartment clean and comfortable, the staff very friendly and the location convenient for the marina and local bars/shops/restaurants. The negatives were a very slow wifi which was not available at all in our room, clothes hangars which continually fell off the rail and a pool area with sun beds in extremely short supply after mid morning. The charge for the use of the room safe is prohibitive and there is also a daily charge for the use of a pool towel. Overall we found this hotel satisfactory but would not rush back.

Pros: Kids club
Cons: Walk to beach
Location: Taxi back from town centre if you have kids.
Family of 4. Little girl 5 loved the kids club. Little boy 2 enjoyed the pool. Would go ai as would be expensive for drinks and food. We had a great time and did not want to come home. Will be going back next year.

Tropic Garden, Santa Eulalia, Ibiza

Pros: Friendly staff, nice pool area
Cons: Over-priced safe charge, poor laundry service.
Location: Nice location, not too far from marina and promenade.
Nice hotel with friendly staff. The management however need to have a word with themselves. They seem to be happy to annoy customers with excessive charges for basic things. 1. I have never paid for using a room safe in my life so to be charged €27 for the privilege (on top of €20 deposit) was a bit of a shocker. To the receptionist's credit, she looked embarrassed. It wasn't even a modern pin code safe either, so I had to carry the key everywhere for 10 days. Lose the key and there goes your deposit. The management must know they have you over a barrel, with passports money, phones, cameras etc, it's just easier to pay. 2. Secondly there is a laundry room with a washer and drier. This would've been very handy cleaning our 7-month-old boy's clothes and bibs etc. When I asked at reception I was told they didn't work but we were welcome to use the much more expensive 72-hour service. We ended up taking them to the laundrette at the marina (2-hr service and much cheaper) 3. As we weren't all-inclusive we had to pay for drinks poolside. A tiny 200ml plastic cup of San Miguel cost €2.60, so we only did that once. The shop across the road sells 330ml cans for 1€. The plastic cup came in handy though.
