“worst 3 star hotel i have ever been to”
I cannot begin with my dissatisfaction of this hotel. I went with a friend for a week in Sep 2011. The first night in the hotel, around 4 am (bear in mind, we just arrived and checked in the hotel, so tired just want to sleep and be ready for the exciting next day). In about an hour, we were awoke and scared by this high-pitched woman's yelling voice, sounds like she was fighting with her man. Extreme contents of words used 'killing you, me etc' something like that. It went on from 3-7am. We were so scared as it was so close just next door. feels like they were going to burst into our room and kill us too. We were so disappointed and complained the next day-it was our first night in Ibiza, it somehow had a huge negative effect on Ibiza cos of that. Receptionist said they will let the security know and keep eye on them. But the situation did not improve dramatically, only the yelling was gone but replaced with loud slapping doors and other noises in the middle of night and early morning when you are in deep sleep. So basically we did not sleep well at all, maybe just one night out of 7. The hotel itself is not very well sound-proofed. You can hear pretty much everything. Mold on the ceiling of the room-quite disgusting. Receptionists are not helpful at all except one guy, forgot the name. the only good thing about this hotel is probably the location and sitting room with sea view and a balcony. Will definitely not going back to that hotel! Ever! But Ibiza is amazing!
“Good value for money, great postioning, not for families or couples who wanted a quiet holiday”
A hotel for those who want to be near the action in Ibiza, but far enough away from the Chav's. Still a bit noisey, but less than expected. Out of the Clubbing season ( June to end of Sept), it would be a totaly different place
“Does the important things very well”
We spent 7 nights here and would definitely stay again. The hotel is clean and spacious, the staff helpful and friendly. The pool is excellent, and our room had a beautiful view. The showers were strong and reliable, and air conditioning worked perfectly. There's a good mix of families and clubbers and the hotel is very laid back. There is an excellent supermarket just 100 yards away and both Playa d'en Bossa and Ibiza Town are within striking distance by foot. The only disappointment was you have to pay to use the safe (not just leave a deposit) but otherwise cannot fault it.
“Worst service ever!!”
The women at the front desk were terrible. One of them was constantly on personal phone calls, and she would ignore hotel clients in the meantime. The lifts did not work; and when it was finally fixed after 4 days, it felt like you were stuck in a broken lift. Because there was no lift, we had to haul our huge luggages up endless flights of stairs, and not a single employee at the hotel was able to help us. Our luggages did not make it on our same flight, so we were luggage-less for a day. Instead of the front desk ladies helping us find the number for the airline on their computer, they said they could not assist us...as they sat behind their computers with internet access. Finally, one of the gentleman employees asked the ladies to find the number for us (clearly, they were able to) and allow us to make the call using the phone at the front desk. Instead of letting us use their phone, as instructed, she pointed us to a payphone outside. Terrible attitude and terrible service! Also, they were stingy with toilet paper!!...even though we needed it because there was a leak in our bathroom that got the couple rolls soaking wet!! Will never visit this place again!
“Ibiza trip”
Accommodation was no frills but very clean. Hotel staff were helpful and courteous. This location was nice and quiet and within easy reach of anywhere by taxi. Based on the price i would say this was a bargain.
“Nice apartment with friendly staff, beautiful view of the Mediterranean”
The only downside was the size of the fridge. Not a big enough one to hold a bag of ice or put full size bottles in. Basically a college dorm-room sized refridgerator. Everything else was great. Felt really safe in the neighborhood (especially with the body guard out in the street every night!). Staff was very friendly and helpful.
“Good experience”
Booked 2 weeks before arrival; mixed reviews online - was very happy/surprised upon arrival. Staff friendly & helpful - chambermaids are fine (except on a Sunday morning). Location was okay ('little Italy') - no clubs or bars in the immediate area, good beach & reasonable cafes/restaurants within walking distance but best to either take the bus to Salinas or rent a car to explore the island. It was noisy a few nights but this is IBIZA (so expected)!! Formentera is a must see whilst visitng Ibiza! Bora Bora is a a 15mins walk and Ibiza Town about 45mins walk.
“Hotel Jabeque”
Stayed in August 2010, both of us in our 30's. The Hotel although basic was lovely. It was between Playa Den Bossa & Figeuretas. It was clean, functional and the staff were very friendly. They would send a little security guard out with a torch if they felt you were being too noisy after midnight. It was just a short walk to the beach and restaurants. Although the water was salty you got used to it and it was easy enough to clean your teeth in bottled water. The grill blew the main fuse board everytime we plugged it in, i'm sure if we had bothered reception would have sorted this out for us. The air conditioning will only work if you have the windows and doors closed properly. Was far enough away from lively Playa den Bossa that you could spend your whole holiday unaware it was there yet close enough that if you did want a busy night out you could walk in. Figueretas bars and restaurants were all lovely, didn't have a bad meal the whole holiday. Went to "Cube" bar on the last night, don't be put off by the very local look of it, it's a warm and friendly place. Overall was a great place to stay. Top tip: The Aquabus to Es Cana to the Hippy Market takes 90+ minutes not 60 as they say and really isn't worth the trek.
“Great budget hotel”
The hotel is in a good location, the staff very friendly and helpful. The rooms good size with convenient kitchen area. Although aircon didnt seem to work in bedroom. Great views of sea from balcony. Very quiet in autumn half term but expect it will be noisy in high season (take your ear plugs). A good base to go out and explore the rest of the island.
“Great hotel!! Excellent value!!”
Guys, This hotel is excellent value for what you pay and is only a short distance from the ibiza town centre and a few seconds walk to the beach.
