“Go somewhere else”

Welcome and wine on arrival was nice. 6.50pm checked in and could not get into restaurant til 9.00pm In Dining room waited 1 hour 50 minutes for evening meal, only one main delivered and 2 table vegetable plates They then had to cook main meal. Drinks service was slow. Other customers were going to sleep awaiting their desserts or main meals. Was not charged for meal, only drinks due to wait and errors. Rooms appeared nice with two queen beds and lots of pillows. Furnishings good quality. Buffet breakfast was expensive and not as extensive as other establishments. Bathroom was dirty, water pooled on floor outside shower. Balcony had cherry pits and stalks plus dust., 2 light bulbs in lamps blown, No room service after 11pm, and restaurant & room service unavailable from 3pm Saturday until Sunday Morning due to a wedding booking. Posted review on their website- was not posted nor was I contacted. Complained to parent company in france several days later and only then did hotel contact me by email. They then gave 1 night stay voucher with condition of 2 night booking on weekend or a weekday night and not on "event weekends" No valet parking, no offer to take luggage to room. Very restricted room service times. Staff however were friendly. The condition of the room, services available etc do not warrant either the star rating nor the price of their rooms. Look for somewhere else. Disappointing for a 30 yr wedding anniversary.

Area recommendations

Hunter Valley Gardens next door were excellent. Good area for wine tasting and dining.

“WILL BE BACK GUARENTEED”

ENJOYED ALL ASPECT OF STAY FROM SWIMMING IN THE POOL WITH CHILDREN TO SITTING ON BALCONY. ROOMS WERE VERY COMFORTABLE, CLEAN AND WELL MAINTAINED. BEST EXPERIENCE FOR US WOULD HAVE TO BE THE RESTAURANT ,THE FOOD WAS DIVINE EVEN THE CHILDREN FINISHED ALL THIER MEALS FROM THE CHILDRENS MENU. EXTREMELY HAPPY
