I've stayed in over 30 hostels and this was by far my favorite. The layout is awesome with a restaurant bar and pool free wifi and cheap bus rates to town and the falls. 2 days before I got to Iguazu my debit card and cash was stolen and when I explained it to Leo the manager he loaned me 400 pesos of his own personal money and had me pay him back 2 days later on Monday when my money transfer came in from western union. The staff was helpful and also socialized with the guests (kept it professional, just being friendly) and I wish I didn't have to leave as soon as I did. Would have loved to stay longer. I see a lot of people saying the staff were rude, obviously I didn't have that experience and maybe the staff is different now but I would definitely stay here again. For only $10 it's a huge deal
Room is nice with a good view. The Staff are friendly and speak English.
The room however shows signs of water leakage on the walls next to the windows and the wall paper needs replacement.
The breakfast is very ordinary and not up to the mark. For such a good and expensive hotel expected a much better breakfast and at least something warm.
This hotel is AMAZING. Stayed two nights with my husband to visit Iguazu falls (you haven't lived until you've seen them!) and we were very pleased with everything. Checkout is at 10 am, so we called to ask about a late checkout, which wasn't available, BUT they let you use the facilities (including the wonderful pool) until you have to leave for your flight! Nothing beats that! Breakfast was very good (eggs, bacon, bread, cereal, yummy natural, fresh fruit juice options, coffee, tea, etc) Food from Mua restaurant was good, not amazing but still tasty, it did take about 20 minutes to get a bread basket and about an hour to get our order... Granted we had dinner at 10:20 pm (ends at 11)... VERY reasonable prices except for the water which is about $2.25/bottle (at the everchanging USD exchange rate which was 8 pesos/dollar) Ordered room service a couple times, they forgot our water one time and a knife and fork the second time but they brought it right away and apologized. The staff was so, so nice, there was always a smile on their face and they always tried to help in every way they could. I don't know why anyone would not recommend this hotel, it's the best! Oh and one more thing, I did not get a single mosquito bite so don't bother buying bug repellent, maybe it was just the season.
We stayed three nights on our trip to Iguazu and had a nice room with a terrace looking into the jungle. We were about 200m from the pool and 250m from the main lodge. It was a $US5 cab ride to town and the falls were probably ten minutes away and about $US10. We tried to use the bus, but a cab picked us up at the bus stop and offered a ride for the cost of two bus tickets. We ate in the restaurant all three nights and had great meals each time. Also ate three of the breakfasts which were nice, but similar to all other breakfasts we had at hotels in South America.
