So this was my second visit to Mar De Cortez and looking froward to my next trip. Had some friends last year introduce me to the Hotel as they have been goning to Cabo for 25 Years to go Marlin and Tuna fishing, and always stay at the Mar De Cortez. Great choice, clean rooms, nice pool, great bar and bartenders, great food, had the chef cook our catch 3 nights, excellent food on the menu incase you don't catch fish. overall rating would be a 10, but they only let you pick 5. I have stayed at high end 5 star resorts in Mexico east coast, Playa area, and those are great if you want a resort and eat and drink there. I like the adventure of going out to eat different foods and seeing the town, so this place is great. Great price for the room and don't have to worry about the saftey of the area. 1 block to Cabo Wabo, and another block to the Giggling Marlin, 2 of the better spots to go to. Add another block and you are at the Marina, my favorite place to visit, espically around 6 AM in the morning as I board my vessel for a day of fishing.

Hotel Mar de Cortez is a charming, popular colonial Mexican style hotel in the center of Cabo San Lucas, Los Cabos, Baja …More
Cabo San Lucas is a vibrant vacation destination - particularly around the marina but if you want a quiet oasis just a couple of blocks away, Los Milagros Hotel is an ideal budget hotel. The hosts and staff are friendly and very helpful and the rooms are plain but very clean. We would go back again in a heartbeat.
The staff is very understanding, I had a scuba trip that took off at 8am on checkout day and they extended my checkout at no cost for when I returned. They also had free WiFi and called taxi service when needed. Very Friendly and only a couple of blocks from most stores or a walk on marina.
I really think Siesta Suites Hotel is a very warm and friendly place to stay in Los Cabos. Location was great and centrally located for adventures .The rooms were very clean and the beds comfy .Was really impressed with the courtesy and comfort I experienced.I would stay here again without question.I highly recommend my friends to stay there if they travel to Mexico.
As they say location location location. I don't think I could get a better place for the price. There were 9 of us in our party. The rooms were a good size but the beds were hard and old. The staff was nice. If we go back to Cabo I'll request the same room.
"Great location!! We loved the resort and staff!!!"
We had a great time for the first 2 1/2 days!!! Then hurricane Odile hit!!! It was horrible but let me say the staff and big THANK YOU TO WENDY our connoisseur, and all the staff every one of them!!! They did the very best that they could do in a horrible time!!! We did not get to finish our vacation, but when we did get home I called expedia and was give a refund on part of the money we spent on the two rooms!!! That was a very nice surprise. We are going to go back in two years and I will book with expedia and I will stay at the Marina Fiesta Resort!!!! I am telling every one I know if they go they need to stay there and book thought expedia!!! It was nice to check in and have a bucket of Corana and water with the limes and nuts!!!! It was a very nice way to start this vacation!!! It is just so sad how it ended but you cant control mother nature!!! Again the staff is just amazing there and the lady that I spoke with from expedia when I returned and received my refund was just amazing!!!! I cant wait to go back and see the beautiful place back to where it was!!!! Thank you for doing the best you could do and I hope the best for you all there!!!

Renovated in January of 2012, this resort in the center of town overlooks Cabo San Lucas Marina, departure point for …More
This is very authentic which is what I was looking for. If you are looking to "blend in" it is perfect. If you want to look and be treated like a tourist then one of those huge Resorts would probably be better for you. They are in the middle of renovating as it was a Comfort Inn. Very nice breakfast with fresh fruit, cereal, bread and juice. They will also do made to order breakfast for a small price. There is a lot of road construction out front, but we just cut over to next block and didn't have to hop the curbs etc. Close to everything..2 blocks from El Squid Roe, 5 blocks to Marina (total tourist gathering) and if you go opposite direction of Marina you are in the real Cabo. Very little English is spoken here and the people are wonderful. I was a female alone walking all over the place and never felt afraid. I am actually planning on getting an apartment in this area in Nov for about 6 months. Absolutley one of the best times ever and this hotel was great.
