We had a great stay overall. The staff was so friendly at all times and went out of their way to provide excellent service. For the price, the room is very spacious and clean, including the bathroom. The room was cleaned well and towels changed every day. The pool is really nice - you can actually swim laps and there are plenty of lounge chairs. The workout area is small but functional, with a treadmill, bike, elliptical, and adjustable cable machine that get the job done. We had no big complaints until the dreaded Chinese tour bus pulled in on our second-to-last day. From then on the pool area got pretty noisy and crowded, and we really could not enjoy our stay as much. This of course is no fault of the hotel so I didn't detract any stars. I think almost any property in Chiang Mai suffers this same problem. The only other complaint would be the sound from construction across the street on a new building. This didn't bother us too much but we were on the far side of the hotel from it. Light sleepers closer to the noise might have a bigger problem.
The hotel was well appointed, and from the time of our arrival until leaving the staff were very friendly and assisted when ever possible. The room was comfortable and clean and serviced daily. Friendly staff assisted with the breakfast each morning. The hotel is positioned quite close to the old city in Chiang Mai and there are regular cheap taxis and transport vehicles available for the five minute drive to the city centre
