“Superb location but tired facilities - needs remodernising”

The location of this hotel is idyllic, on a headland over the bay of Tangolunda. Access to three beautiful beaches and the hotel has three swimming pools. With two kids in tow we were able to divide our time between these and have a superb stay. You don't really need creature comforts in such an idyllic setting, but the hotel looks tired and poorly maintained. It needs a thorough brightening up. Don't think this is going to happen as the hotel caters essentially for the local (Mexican) market. That said other hotels in this group are a class above this one. Great week's holiday, despite comments above.

“nice view but could be better”

The room was nice and clean but for the money not worth it. I didnt like the fact that the hotel only accepted cards or charge to t he room. Overall, the hotel itself is nicely located with beautiful beaches but not the best restaurants or bars.

Area recommendations
the beach "la entrega" was very nice because although its a public beach one can do many aquatic activities for cheap. i highly recommend it. any taxi can take you there.

“A nice place at a reasonable price”

Together with a close friend, my wife and I travelled in Mexico and stopped at Huatulco. We did not made a Hotel reservation in advance so we checked several options on the spot. Las Brisas offered good rates on Expedia, so we stayed here. Our room had a nice view of the ocean. Our two nights were enough because there is not a lot to do around Huatulco, other than swimming and lying by the pool which is not our favorite pasttime.

“Total relaxation, cant wait to go back”

Love this hotel, we were looking for very relaxing and leasurly vacations and this place was perfect. The Hotel is less than 5 minutes away from downtown Huatulco by Taxi, there is no way you can get there fast with out a car. Upon registration we were greated with a drink. The hotel complex is very big and there are golf carts that take you from place to place. The hotel has various activities that you can do (ping pong, squash, raquet, basket, board games, etc) and plans events every night. The view from every room is perfect and a mayor plus were the awesome beautiful private beaches.

Area recommendations
Go to the La crucesita Market for great cheep food, and visit all of the surrounding bays; they are all worth it.

“Great for kids--All Inclusive not worth glad we didn't.”

Hotel was nice--a bit dated. We've stayed in the nearby Zaachila a few times and my wife stayed at Brisas years back when it was still a Club Med. Las Brisas is known for having a lot of kids and that's why we went there. The food is very average (not bad, just average). The rooms are decent--a bit dated. Our room had a in room safe that after a bit of work (removing the pads) I was able to fit my laptop (barely). Our room had a gecko in the closet, which we didn't mind. He was in the room for much of our stay, which my son loved. We didn't get the all inclusive and we were glad. There are plenty of restaurants around ($3 taxi ride from hotel) where we had delicious freshly prepared seafood and steaks--arrachera. Their "animation" (group of young people that works to create activities to make the stay more enjoyable) were great and helped entertain my son playing soccer and other games with them. One of the staff (Fernanda--a 10 in a bikini) was really great with my son and definitely made our soccer game more enjoyable.

Area recommendations
Definitely check out the snorkeling off premises at La Entreaga beach--about a $7 taxi ride.
Dining
We used to always dine at Dona Celias about 5 mins away by taxi. They have gotten a little crazy very small portions--half of what we got at other places. Also, twice I caught them over charging us for little things--we have been going there for over 10 years, but no more. Nearby (5 min cab ride--the cabbies all know these spots), we really enjoyed the Langosta Gorda at Entreaga Beach, L'Echalote--a nice French place with Mexican/French fusion, Kristal Rose for their arrachera and Il Rigaletto for Italian food.
Outdoors or beach
La Entreaga beach is a close by beach for snorkeling. Buceo Sotavento in St. Crucita has diving trips. I was certified in diving with Hector there many years ago and still drop in for dives.

“The best Hotel in Paradise!”

Las Brisas is the best Hotel in Paradise! the service from every one was excellent. The food, the drinks... Veronica made our stay the best at the Beach Club in "MAR"... I'm plannign to go back to Huatulco and for sure, will stay there again!

Area recommendations
You have to go to La Crucecita to shop around, there is a very good restaurant called Grillo Marinero, the best octopuss you've ever tried! Also Santa Cruz is very nice for a convenient dinner at the beach, specially with full moon and some frozen tequilas!
