“Very Pleasant Stay”

We got there and was our Oaxaca stop on a trip to various cities on the south of Mexico, we arrived and registration was quick, the only hiccup was my assumption about the breakfast and the what was specified on the website, after verifying the information, it was our mistake since we did it quickly and we did not read properly, we ended up paying for the extra breakfasts, which was worth, it was delicious and plenty. I had read reviews about the breakfast at this hotel and they were correct. Nice place to stay, very family oriented even though I did not see many many kids. Rooms were clean and comfy, not very luxurious but clean and safe. Staff were helpful and my apologies for all the hassle that I created, to the contrary they are very nice and trying to accommodate. I'm sure that there are many good hotels in the area, the whole city of Huatulco is beautiful and there is a lot of nice places to stay but in my opinion this is good value for your money, I will strongly recommend this hotel to anybody who is not that picky about the rooms. It is not modern decoration but beds are comfy and rooms are clean.

Area recommendations
Visit la crucecita, nice little town, very laid back.
Outdoors or beach
the beach at the bay of Maguey are very nice, we arrived by car, you can ask a taxi to get you there and pretty much have the beach for ourselves, there were no many people. There were a couple of boats that brought a bunch of people for lunch but after that they left and we had the beach for ourselves again.

“Darn Good Accomdations for the price.”

This is not a luxury tourist hotel but it is a great local hotel. Staff is friendly and helpful but most do not speak English which is O.K. with me as it make me have to practice my Spanlish. It is about a 1km walk to the local town beach. There are many fine restaurants in Hautulco. The town central is modern, safe, and pleasant and only a short inexpensive taxi drive from the hotel. One block from the hotel is the large and modern Super Che grocery store. The only irritant for me was their WIFI internet connection which works well with most mobile devices which can operate on a slower connection but a WIFI laptop connection is very bad. In the lobby is a small computer center which does have wired high-speed connection. My guess is that they are using outdated wireless routers to transmit their wireless signals. All in all would not hesitate to stay there again.

“Delightful hotel!”

The hotel had more charm and warmth than we expected. The rooms were very comfortable and clean and quiet. The buffet breakfast was delicious as was dinner in the open air restaurant which overlooks the garden and pool. We would definitely love to return again and highly recommend the Villa Blanca.

“Good value for money”

We stay one week in Villablanca, it's a good hotel with excellent breakfast included. Rooms are big and well maintained. Be aware of on-going construction of one part of the hotel. Stuff is very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to my friends.

“Not 5 Star but service is very personal and a quality visit”

Closely situated to the shopping Centre (Super Che) as well as the beach and Santa Cruz area. Hotel is very comfortable and has a "community" ambience to it due to it's smaller size and ability to interact with other guests in a friendly manner. They are building 21 more rooms. The staff is incredible and in their very friendly manner they work hard at making your stay an enjoyable one. Be sure to say hello to Laura, Jesse, Veronica, Luis, Gil, and the many other staff that you will grow to love. The beds are very hard so be warned but we had no difficulty in spending 2 weeks and had enjoyable sleeps after we accustomed ourselves to the the mattresses. The pool is refreshing and a welcome feature after a hot day out sight seeing. We just loved this hotel and the warm Mexican welcome you received from everyone associated with the staff. Be kind to them and you will be rewarded threefold. Just an awesome vacation and would definitely go back there again.

Area recommendations
If you are interested in some fishing/snorkeling excursions, be sure to take the time to locate a fisherman in Santa Cruz Marina by the name of Aaron who runs a fishing boat called Aaroncruz. He is an amazing person who will do all he can to make your trip pleasurable and runs an honest and reasonable business. Make sure he takes you to Indio Bay - very isolated and private with excellent snorkeling. It is worth while to rent a car and travel south one day to Barra de la Cruz which is an amazing beach - don't be turned off by the restaurant (palapa) there - the food is excellent. The next day head north to Puerto Escondido and take in the small towns of Puerto Angel and the Turtle Museum before carrying on to Puerto Escondido. This trip gives you a good flavor of the Mexican culture and the agriculture in the area. Most of the beaches are awesome with good food available. Avoid eating at Playa Entrega which is a tourist rip-off. You will pay dearly for sub-standard food. It's not far to downtown Cruscecita which has all the shops etc. Go on Sunday evening and enjoy the locals going to the Church and enjoying the downtown area. Above all, speak with the locals - they are very friendly and interested in you as well as your interest in them. Once again, treat them well and you will be treated well also - have fun!

“Good Rooms at a Great Price”

The location of the hotel was good, not very far from the beaches and the center of town. The service was very good, although the beds were a little to hard for my taste. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. When I asked for some recomendations on restaurants or what activities where available, they asked what we were in the mood for that day and they recommended some great restarunts and fun activities for the whole family.

“Good for low budget travelers”

The breakfast was great and the main courses were simple and delicious. They also had a variety of squeezed juices from fresh veggies. If you don’t like noise and fumes from the cars, call before arriving to this place and book the rooms overlooking the backyard of the hotel. We spent just one night in a room facing the main street and it was a bad experience. You couldn’t close tight the window because the entire window had gaps, and you have got the feeling that you were sleeping as a homeless near the highway. They had changed room on the next day at our request but it’s hard to understand why they were doing this, - placing people into noisy environment and waiting for their complaints. The most amazing thing was the beaches and the beautiful water which was +29C. The ocean was pretty rough in many places. There were not too many people on the beaches mainly because they couldn’t find the shade. A good idea is to bring your own beach umbrella and folding chairs. Every beach had a spot of calm water for swimming short distances. We had spent hours near the beach bringing umbrella, chairs, bottle of water and fruits in our backpacks. We were paying $4 for the going to the further beach. It wasn’t a problem to find a taxi. The drivers were very friendly and polite. Alex and Larisa from Toronto

“Beautiful Huatulco”

The staff at Hotel Villa Blanca Huatulco were the best. All of our meals were fabulous and afforable. My only improvement would be more comfortable beds and pillows. If you love firm this is your place. Very reasonable hotel and great value.

Traveller's tip
We took 3 day trips. The bay boat trip was so fun. We were literally dragged into an anniversery party by 40 fun loving travelers from Durango. Dancing and laughing all day.We also took the coffee plantation and Cascades Falls trip. Very beautiful and interesting.
