This hotel is of colonial design built in the 1920s. The rooms are set out in several wings with long walks back to reception. The public areas are not air conditioned and there are no lifts. We stayed in mini suites which were very dark we needed lighting on all day. We paid for Club access but don't bother as the service is terrible. There seems to be no one in charge throughout the day to teach the staff. We asked for our favourite tipple on 3 nights and only got it once. 5 star hotels make sure they have what guests want. Most mornings there were no spoons available for use with cereal we had to cajole a staff member to get some. This review is too short to list all the problems with this hotel so I will end on a positive note and commend the pool boys for an excellent job.I would suggest if you want modern facilities and comfort combined with outstanding service - don't stay here.
