“Clean hotel in good location of Downtown Houston.”

On a business trip I needed a good hotel in a good location. After very busy sessions, I could come home at night and relax with everthying I needed near by. If you wanted to, you could also 'shop til you drop' with one of the largest high end malls surrounding the hotel.

“Over priced , poor service, I won't stay ther again.”

The staff acted as though they were doing me a favor to let me stay there. My room was next to a luandry facility and we constatnly heard loud bumps and noises. The toliet was stopped and they had to come un-stop it. The room was small. I just was not pleased with the hotel. I will not stay there again.

Area recommendations
Galleria area is great for dinning and shopping. Everything you need is almost in walking distance.
Getting there
If you are driving you will need GPS, because of the one way streets.
Shopping
One reason I go to this area is to take my wife on the business trip with me. She has a great time shopping in the Galleria and the many shops surrounding the area.
Dining
You can get authenic international cuisine in this area, from Tahi, Chinese, Mexican, Indian. As well as several great steak places.

“Prefer the Hilton”

Stayed in the "worst" room (near the drone of the huge water cooling tower). It had an adjoining room w/ the door left open (I only had the one room) The toilet barely flushed. Overpriced breakfast at Zucchini's Worst hotel of the trip, best part was the "free" parking at the Galleria I would not stay there again,Westayed one nite at the Hilton near the Galleria on the same trip and will book that one for future trips.

I apologize your stay was not as you envisioned with regards to the location of the room you occupied and issues with the toilet. We know you did not expect to have these types of challenges in a hotel of our caliber and we empathize with you. Please know that this experience was not the standard, but an exception and we hope to have you back as our guest. I would like to take a moment and mention that our hotel is about half way done with our multi-million dollar transformation. Our transformation includes new and updated flooring/carpet, décor & artwork, furnishings and lighting. The Westin Oaks new features will also include a lobby bar and state of the art work-out facility. We are excited about the new changes that are occurring and we would love for you to experience our newly transformed hotel in the future. Warmest regards.

“It was what I expected”

“"The air-conditioning was a pain"”

The only thing I complain is the air conditioning because it was not cool enough, mainly it was warm all night. We report this to maintinence but it didn't improve at all.

“LAck of service”

The hotel has a great location, the rooms are really comfortable for there is a lack of service. I never felt any service , good faces or anyone there to help me. Don't expect the concierge to be kind and help you arrange anything.

“Great location for shopping”

Because of its convenient location within the Galleria, it provdies a very practial solution for those who want to do season shopping. You just go outside the Hotel, shop and bring your stuff back to your room in minutes, no need to be carrying everything around.
