“definitely staying again on future trips”

VERY impressed with cleanliness of hotel room. very near to expressway but slept fine. Beds are a little too firm. lakewood church and the mall are only five minutes away. Gas station is within walking distance which was perfect for a cheap meal. Breakfast could use more variety :) two friends of mine stayed in a different room at this hotel and their experience was same as mine :)

Lakewood Church. Service experience is amazing. TCBY. Ice cream parlor was cheap and delicious!!

“Great Location”

Great Location. Right across the highway from Lakewood Church and other entertainment locations. The pool was not working and they gave us access to another La Quinta nearby. Customer Service was great.

“Excellent value for money...if you get the right room”

We were absolutely delighted with pretty much every aspect of our enjoyable stay at this La Quinta. HOWEVER I realise that there are 2 types of room; we were given a room at the front of the building, next to the freeway, with an internal access door. There were other rooms to the rear of the complex with motel-style external access doors which I can't comment on, but I suspect from previous reviews that these are the more out-dated rooms which seem to attract complaints. So my advice is: request a room at the front. The windows are double (triple?) glazed and we did NOT have a problem with traffic noise~ and we are light sleepers. It's like a faint buzz in the background your ear quickly tunes out. The photos actually don't do this place justice, I've stayed in quite a few La Quinta's and this one was very smart indeed. Room - colourful (new LQ colours! Orange instead of faded green, like it!) with a super comfy bed and a fridge; bathroom - bright, spacious, hairdryer, coffee-maker. Pool - quite big and clean. Location - as soon as you turn off the 610 it's right there so take it slow to avoid cruising past it (which we did.) Convenient for the loop. Staff pleasant enough. Did not eat breakfast but others I was travelling with reported that it was a really good selection. The medical centre shuttles seem to be reliable and punctual. Highly recommended!!! (If you get the room we got, that is...!)

“Not Impressed”

The hotel had a 4.2 rating out of 5, which is why I chose to stay here. The floors felt grimy, the bathroom is tiny, the sheets felt unclean, and there were waterbugs everywhere outside of the doors. Would not stay again.

“DEFINITELY WILL RETURN”

The hotel is really nice. We were staying at a hotel closer to the hospital that we go to, but our daughter found this one and we will be staying here now. The shuttle brings us to and from the hospital and that is awesome! Thanks for a great stay! We"ll be back next week!

“Great Stay”

Family and I stayed 2 nights at this hotel. It's a little older but It was a good location and the pool was nice. I think the rooms in front of the hotel by the freeway tend to be a little louder than the back rooms. (We originally had a room in the front but decided to switch to a back room and it was much quieter). The front desk person, Damion, was extremely helpful and nice.

“Not up to usual La Quinta standards”

This La Quinta is very old and it shows. The rooms are dark, the furniture is worn and the bathrooms need a good updating and the entire establishment smelled musty. The nightly rate was good for the area, but I didn't feel as safe as I would have felt at other nearby hotels. This particular La Quinta isn't up to the standards of the chain, especially the newer ones. If you are on a budget and don't mind old, musty and worn out, this would do in a pinch.
