“Clean, comfortable hotel close to medical center”

I needed a hotel close to the VA medical center for a business trip. The hotel was easy to find, had plenty of free parking, and the room was clean. Breakfast was not included, but otherwise the prices were very reasonable.

“Under contstruction, not a good time”

I have stayed at this hotel before and it was fine. However this time I was disappointed. The hotel is being remodeled and the updated rooms anre good but the older rooms are extremely dated and dingy.

“Great Location”

My stay and the price was great as well as the location in the Reliant area which is connected to many resturants and the medical center. The only issue was construction going on in the hotel, but was not to much of an issue for me.

“I hope you have plenty of time because you'll be waiting a long time to check-in.”

Very dissapointed with room being ready when I arrived to check-in. Waited for over two hours. Once checked-in, services were ok. The attendants seemed in no hurry to get rooms ready for guests checking-in. Holiday Inn officials need to make some spot checks to evaluate check-in and getting rooms ready for guests. This is the only bad experience I have had with a Holiday Inn reservation.

Area recommendations
Sugarland just west on highway 59 from Houston. Great location for shopping.

“Very happy with stay”

My son and I only needed a place to sleep for the night, we came to tour Rice University. We were very pleased with our stay it was only blocks from our destination. Our room had recently been updated and everything was clean and nice. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. If we go back to Houston we will stay here again and I have already recommended this hotel to a friend.

“convenient location at good price”

the first room I was assigned had an absolutely awful odor, but the front desk were very nice and immediately moved me to a new room which was just fine. I think this property has seen better days, but its generally easy to find a good rate online - so that its a good value for the location.

“I would stay there again.”

The location was convenient to my work and the stay was pleasant. I have no complaints.

Area recommendations
There are a lot of good restaurants in the area especially near the campus of Rice University on University Ave., about 6 block away. With Reliant Stadium adjacent to the hotel, there is no shortage of things to do. Happy trails.
