hotel en el centro de houston

Posted 21-May-2015

Posted 20-May-2015
Pros:

Location: Our stay was to attend a ballgame at Minute Maid Ball Park.
Nice hotel within walking distance of Minute Maid Ballpark where we enjoyed a ballgame. Would stay again for similar reason.

Rooms are spacious though no room for your luggage. Location is near local public transport but everything worth seeing is far away. Staff were helpful and friendly. Free high speed internet but local calls are billed to your room. Not too many choices to eat in the area except for the one place in the lobby

Convenient location and comfortable stay

Posted 15-May-2015
Pros: Location and accommodation -- comfortable suite. Staff was helpful.
Cons: Continued renaissance of surrounding street area. It's getting better all the time.
Location: See note above about restaurants and easy walk to Convention area. Also, the Rice Hotel (condos) has a great coffee shop open later -- Minuti.
This location was a convenient walk to the convention hotel by George Brown Conv. Center. For downtown Houston, there was a fair amount of foot traffic and dining options at night. I particularly recommend the Bombay Pizza place a block away. The suite I had was spacious and even though all I was doing was sleeping there, it provided some room to stretch out after a long day. The gym was a nice facility with plenty of equipment (it's not like I'm lifting 100 lb. dumbbells!) The staff was courteous and helpful. The downstairs restaurant was nice; I ate there once and the service and food was good. The only downside (there's always something, right?) was the recent test runs of the new east/west metro line. It ran late at night with those confounded bells and speakers and then again in the early morning. But once that's over with, I'm certain that the metro line will come in handy for trips to the east. Already the north-south line connects to Texas Medical City, so I'd recommend the location for that purpose as well.

nice layover

Posted 11-May-2015
Pros: well located in downtown. the staff was great. really appreciated the on site washers and dryers.
Cons: We really wish hotels had ceiling fans in the rooms rather than air conditioners. Air movement is more comfortable than being cold.
Location: the location was very convenient to places to eat, movie theater, ballpark.
We stayed here four days and are very happy with every aspect of the Club Quarters in Houston. The staff is very friendly and helpful (thank you Brittany). The hotel has clothes washers and dryers on site!!..complimentary!! The on site restaurant was also very good and reasonably priced. We upgraded to the room above the "standard size" and was very happy about that (the standard size is fine you are just one person in the room) The hotel is perfectly located to public transportation. We will certainly stay here the next time in Houston. Robert

Club Quarters in Downtown Houston

Posted 10-May-2015
Pros: Clean, neat, location, spacious suite.
Cons: Nothing really. It is not a luxury hotel, but you get good value.
Location: We were there for business. We had dinners all over Houston. Car, young designated-driver colleague, we were good to go!
This is a recently renovate hotel located in the heart of downtown Houston. We were in town for the OTC and the location one block from the metro could not have been more convenient. We had a rental car, and a young colleague to chauffeur us around, but the traffic at the OTC was so bad we tried to drive their only once… otherwise we took the tram. $1.25 from downtown to Reliance Park (now NRG).
