Im not exaggerating, if you dont stay here you will regret it for life! It’s fascinating and super quiet, we stayed in Room 8 which has a jacuzzi and it was perfect everything was super organized and clean and the staff was super nice her name is Helen she was super amazing and answered all questions! You have privacy and you will enjoy every moment in Chelsea Sun inn

Absolutely Terrible... I'm really not kidding!!!
I often read the reviews to make sure I don't end up having a bad experience. Well there was a lot of good reviews for this place and a couple of bad ones so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Big Mistake! Booked this for a romantic weekend. When you get there you quickly realize that this is not to the quality expected from the pictures and everything is outdated, I mean really outdated think TV slightly larger than a laptop screen, worn out furniture, electrical switches didn't work, I'm guessing they had a bunch of bulbs that were burned out but who knows. 1.First photo shows the view from the bed, notice the two windows looking into the room from another part of the house!! Um creepy... I mean who has windows in a bedroom that someone from another part of the house can look through, this in itself should have been reason to leave. 2. Second and third photo... The room had no heat and it was 25 degrees outside. No not kidding, it had a thermostat but heat didn't work. The owners gave me a lame heater when I complained but this did absolutely nothing to heat the room, see the tiny heater and the large room! I could have overlooked items 1 and 3 but I paid over $200 for a room with NO HEAT! Thank God I wasn't that far from home (Philly area) and ended up not staying and driving home at 7.30pm .... what a disaster! I can only hope that someone else can avoid this experience with this review! Still trying after a week to get my refund.

Place is gorgeous however literally half my lights and neither fireplaces worked. Dont let that stop you from coming here tho it is a freaking gem!

Nice people. No shampoo. Beautiful place. Wonderful sheets. Need instructions for tv. Need towels for floor slippery floors when wet. Would stay there again.

This was our second stay at Chelsea Sun Inn. Traveling a lot for work, I hate being trapped in hotels all the time. Here, you feel like you are at home. The rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable, the common area is gigantic and beautiful, there’s a pool and hot tub, and the grounds are spectacular. It feels like you are stepping into a private villa. The only advise, bring some snacks, drinks, and swimsuit. If you need coffee or tea, just ask and they will accommodate. There is a chef that you can have come in and make you breakfast. You just need to give notice. And it’s very reasonable in price. The staff is very nice. No hovering and there when needed.

Gorgeous views. Couldn’t get the fireplace to work and the ac didn’t see to work. We had to open the windows and there went any screens. Overall it’s a very pretty place and it was quiet.

This is primarily a wedding venue with only nine guest rooms/suites, but during the wedding off-season, it's a B&B, which I thought would be a nice change from a chain hotel. My room rate matched that of a Hampton Inn. Instead of the day and night slamming of spring-loaded chain hotel guest room doors, Chelsea Sun Inn has good-old wooden doors that you close yourself. Without all the boom-boom-boom of door slams at all hours, I actually got a sound night's sleep. What an unexpected pleasure! The staff was wonderful and attentive. The freezer in my room fridge had some accumulated ice that kept me from loading all my frozen goodies. I called to ask if a replacement was available and a new unit arrived at my door in under five minutes. If that didn't work they would have let me stash everything in the big unit in the main kitchen. Nice. The next morning I took my breakfast in the big kitchen, which is the oldest part of the house, built in 1811. I had quicker access to coffee! I could have eaten in the breakfast room or by the pool if I chose. All-in-all, classic charm in a peaceful, serene setting for the same price as a mid-level chain hotel. What is not to love? I'm going to do this more often. Thanks for being such a refreshing change from the cookie-cutter world of guest lodging.

Great anniversary stay
Beautiful place to stay. My husband and I wanted a night out and this was fantastic. We stayed in the versace suite and it was beautiful and big. Great view of the pond. We will be back. Breakfast was delicious.

This property is truly amazing. Our first stay at a B&B or Inn - just spur of the moment. We arrived late on a Monday night. It was like - WOW! It felt like we were walking into a castle or old English manor. Our room, the Versace room, was incredible. The views south and east were amazing. North left a little to be desired, with the view of the metal work shed and silos, but the other views more than compensated Would highly recommend this Inn.

The site is beautiful and the room sizable and clean enough but hallway outside our bedroom was noisy - every time front door opened our door clanged - and no one met us when we checked in.... we waited five minutes when we called the number given. Kitchen had dirty dishes and place smelled generally musty- it has great potential given size and setting but needs more care

This is a beautiful property with interesting architectural and decorative features throughout. As we were leaving, I kept noticing new interesting and beautiful things. The staff were friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay.

i liked all of it but i didnt like how they didnt have proper breakfast like other hotels and u have to pay 10 dollars for eggs,bacon or any other breakfast food (they only have breads,butter and coffee for free).

The building is so beautiful and interesting. The area is rural and quaint. Would have loved to have known the history of the Inn and the area but did not see any literature and the 2 fellows running the place were very busy.

A weekend away from it all
Super fun! The space is gorgeous and the amenities were amazing. Was great to spend a weekend "away from it all" and the staff was great. Comfy bed, cool shower, and the common spaces were really neat. Felt very luxurious. The only qualm I have is the "continental breakfast" which was basically just toast, bagels, and some apples, with all other normal breakfast foods (eggs, bacon, etc.) being an additional charge. My recommendation: add a cereal station! :)

Randy checked us in and couldn't have been nicer. Gave us a tour of the property and explained all of the amenities. Our room was fabulous. Observations: - The property is severely understaffed. - It appears that the owner has dumped a lot of money into the construction but is not interested in maintenance. They need more amenities, iron and ironing board in the rooms, and most of all food. This place is in the middle of no where. Choices of places to eat are very limited. It's easy to tell that it is someones dream let's hope they have the money and fortitude to see it through. Again, cu dos to the staff that we met Randy and apple are great.
