My friends and I took a trip to Cancun this past week and we had an incredible time. I read a lot of reviews before going and I was slightly concerned on how the services would be. I was told by a few of my family members
that this hotel was excellent.
Room- I thought the room over all was very nice. I enjoyed the modern look. The AC worked very well and the shower was incredible. They came and cleaned our room and also did a turn down services. I thought overall the best part of this hotel was the room. The view from our ocean view room was excellent. If you are young and don't mind the noise the ocean view rooms on the weekends can get loud. We didn't mind but I can see how that could bother people.
Hotel - This is a very small hotel. It is almost like a boutique. Which was nice for us since we could find each other easily. The AC in the lobby was not very good though. So when you first walk in from a long flight it isn't the best feeling.
Food- I read a lot that people had issues with making dinner reservations. I find this to be the complete opposite for us. I thought I got the best services here. We had a very large group and it was really hard to accommodate us but he did his best to do everything he could. The food at Salt was very good and Silk was also good.
I would say I did not like that we did not have an option for food in between lunch and dinner. After a long day of excursions you do not want to wait 1 hr for room services.
Beautiful resort within the hotel zone. The beach does have seaweed which can leave an odor, but the staff does an adequate job of raking it up occasionally. The on site restaurants were good, not great. Breakfast at Spice was enjoyable. The rooms were spacious and our view out to the ocean was incomparable. We decided to get a massage out on the beach late one evening and the night breeze and sound of the ocean added to the wonderful experience. Well definitely be back.
My wife and have stayed at several all inclusive resorts but never have we had this level of personal service. They said the resort was sold out but we never felt it was crowded.... In fact my wife thought the resort was having trouble filling rooms. Between our butler and the rest of the staff they made our experience amazing and we will return VERY soon.
It was a nice place. Easy bus ride to places. Food was good. The only one my family did not like was the Asian restaurant. The beach bar has great shrimp/fish tacos. The tv only has spanish chanels. So bring movie player for kids. Had a great time can't wait to go back!!!
This hotel is so nice that we came back after two days stay.
1 Fantastic view. Top facility. The room is so large and spacious and even if we booked ocean view we got ocean front. I guess as long as they have empty room the staff will try their best to make you feel like in palace. Like king and queen.
2 Great Beach ever been. Every detail makes perfect. They have staff clean the beach every night and remove the seaweed and garbage so the beach is like brand new every day. Super white and fine sand that I've ever seen. Just like potato mesh.
3 Super great swimming pool. The view is just like the photo on their website. Usually if a hotel has great beach people would not even look at the pools but this one is not! Great pool connecting to the ocean view. Bar right in the pool and you can order fresh coconut and sat at the bar while the rest of your body in the warm water. (By the way, this is the only hotel has fresh coconut that I found.)
4 Super super fantastic food. We had one night at the seafood grill and we can't forget how delicious the grilled scallop is. The second dinner was at their French restaurant and the tasting menu. They are proud to be a five diamond French restaurant and there are only six like them in Mexico so I would save my words about their food. Try yourself! And the most important, so cheap compared to the same level restaurant in NEW YORK! I FEEL LIKE BECOMING RICH PEOPLE!
We were very pleased with the resort. Our room (junior suite ocean front) was really nice, as were the food and the drinks. The hotel staff were great. It would have been nice to have a night club on site and more day time and evening activities. For a place to lay out and relax, it was great. If you are looking for more activities as found at other all inclusives, you may be a little disappointed. We really enjoyed our stay, and would go again.
The Cancun Hotel Zone rests on a slit of land bound by a lagoon and the turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea. Sunseekers crowd the white-sand beaches. At night, the action moves to the restaurants, clubs, and bars that line Boulevard Kukulcán, the area’s main artery. This road passes by the El Rey ruins, believed to be a king’s tomb.
