Had a great time...only gripe, resort was under construction, which cancelled the nightly shows. We really enjoy that part of these type of resorts. We had to leave the grounds for nightly entertainment which was costly for us.
I just returned from my trip yesterday (07/28/15) and I have to say I am in love with the service from the butler to the bar attender, everyone was super nice! The food was good, the pizza place at the 3rd floor was really good and the pools were amazing. I used my hotel credits for our romantic dinner and for a couples massage. Romantic dinner was very romantic and the servers were so nice and attentive, for our couples massage, sadly we couldn't do it together due to I was not feeling too well, however my boyfriend went by himself not to lose the credits, but they were able to reschedule my session for a different day, and let me tell you it was fantastically amazing. I loved it! I will definitely visit again!
Stayed for 3 nights, the whole experience was great. We had dinner and Indochin (ok) and Ramona (excelent) and had LUnch at Ni (extraordinary, the ceviche sensacion is amazing). The room, the view and specially the staff were all great.

Our time at the GR Solaris was amazing. We really enjoyed the pool and all the pool side services. The bartenders are the stars of the hotel. They make you feel welcome and are the real friends you will meet. There are way too many "entrepreneurs" on the patio and beach. Everyone with the hotel was great though. The pool staff was a lot of fun, especially after a few cocktails at the pool bar. Food had its high and low points. Everyday there is a buffet breakfast. They have make your own omelettes. My boyfriend got them everyday haha. The fine dining restaurant was pretty awful though. We made the mistake of going on oriental night. Do not go on this day. It doesn't cross over well. But lunch made everything better. They have amazing breaded fish. We looked forward to the days this was available. All in all it was a very good vacation. You get what you pay for.
The Cancun Hotel Zone rests on a slit of land bound by a lagoon and the turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea. Sunseekers crowd the white-sand beaches. At night, the action moves to the restaurants, clubs, and bars that line Boulevard Kukulcán, the area’s main artery. This road passes by the El Rey ruins, believed to be a king’s tomb.
