This hotel is mainly used by Americans. So you can expect it to be of good quality, and it is. The money used is mainly US dollars, and I would recommend this, as this currency is preferred over pesos. The staff are meticulously clean and proud of the hotel and its grounds. The food is very nice, but after two weeks the british stomach becomes a bit delicate and lots of oil and seafood can make you queasy. But everything is laid on and near perfect. The drinks were all original, Baileys was baileys etc, no cheap stuff. The pools were clean and always tidy. There was entertainment from some loud staff around the pool, and this was mixed with lots of tequila. The bus R1 is best for Cancun town, but it is more for locals, so keep an eye on yourself. Overall this was a very good holiday, and very enjoyable.
From the VIP check-in to the 5 delicious restaurants, the HUGE pool and the outstanding service, it was the perfect Father's Day present for my dad.
Our room was very nice and you can't beat the oceanfront view.
"Amazing hotels for couples with high expectation. "
This is my first time to Cancun, and I was a bit worried about the quality of hotels since I usually have very high expectations. When I first arrived I was already in love with the white design of the hotel and simple and modern. The infinity pool was absolutely beautiful and the beach was just perfect with blue teal water and white sand, very clean. Overall the food was okay for the hotel, I think it's already one of the best in Cancun. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, with the exception of one who help and explained the resort credits to me when I was first arrived, and caused a huge confusion and wasn't responsible for it. However her manager stepped up and resolved it very nicely. Really enjoyed my trip here, wonderful for couples wanting to spend a relaxing and quiet time in Cancun.
This hotel is hotel is excellent in every way possible!
The first thing you notice beyond the private wooden gates is how well maintained the landscape is. As you pull up to the main entrance of the hotel, you will see how beautiful the actual building is. The main lobby is adorned with floor to ceiling plantation shutters that when open (weather permitting) expose a view of their floating palm tree pond that disappears into the ocean.
The rooms are no slouch, we had a personal plunge pool in our back patio with patio chairs and a table. The room was large with a large separate bedroom. The bathroom had a large closet, his and hers sinks, a shower and a soaking tub. I had a mini refrigerator 2 Haiku ceiling fans and there was a total of 3 LG flat screens in my habitación. I was in a Garden Pool Suite which is about midrange amongst the available room types available. The restaurants on site are one of my favorite things about my stay at the Nizuc. There are a total of 6 restaurants/cafes to eat from on the premises. I ate at 4 of them. I never tasted a bad item from any of them, I strongly recommend Ni for ceviché, and the cafe nearest the lifeguard hut on the beach for Fish Tacos.
The beach is probably the best of all the hotels in the Hotel Zone (this property is at the southernmost tip of the HZ, almost not even connected to the HZ) for the simple fact that it is blocked and there is no strong waves/currents, great for kids. We took advantage of the complimentary snorkel

The hotel has a very good beach. Everything is very nice, clean and luxurious. Pools were great.
I lived the Spa, but it was expensive to use.
The hotel is not all inclusive and everything you pay for is expensive. However if you don't want to ear at the hotel there are many places that are a short walk away. Hotel is located near many cafes and bars.
Excellent service. All the staff at the hotel was always smiling and happy to be helping. I never went without anything and the premium beverage service was great. Make sure you tip your staff as always it will make your time more enjoyable. This hotel does limit your ability to smoke in certain areas, when I made reservation for my older party members we requested smoking rooms on our reservation and it was confirmed. On showing up we were told the rooms are all non-smoking. Also I was told that hyatt will reserve the level of room that you purchase but not the beds so you might end up with two beds instead of one. However the staff did correct any issues we had with that the following day. I come to expect this with travel to Mexico but if you are firm you always end up with what you ask for. Over all this was a great place to stay and a wonderful clean beach with lots of room.
The Cancun Hotel Zone rests on a slit of land bound by a lagoon and the turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea. Sunseekers crowd the white-sand beaches. At night, the action moves to the restaurants, clubs, and bars that line Boulevard Kukulcán, the area’s main artery. This road passes by the El Rey ruins, believed to be a king’s tomb.
