“We would stay again.”
Friendly Staff, older hotel but very clean. Would definitely recommend. Would have been nice if the restaurant had of been open.
“Spring Spa”
Hotel staff was very friendly. Restaurant not open much but this was an off season trip.
“not a bad hotel but could use updating”
One employee at check in was quite a jerk, but i waold not let him ruin our honeymoon. If you are a smoker, you are confined to the third floor with a wall of a mountain for a mountain view or a parking lot or busy street. To enjoy a "mountain view" , you really need to go to the top floors. They were also not receptive at all to the fact of expedia. I almost felt like i was held at a lower status because i used expedia. Discounted rates..i get it, but they got a room rented when they may have been stuck with a vacent room. Get real. Anyways, it is not much more than what you would expect from a private owned older hotel trying to find a way to make it. As for hot springs itself...YOU MUST GO...absolutly beautiful and very friendly.
“would stay again!!”
Although it is an older hotel, it was nice on the inside. we loved that it was right downtown on bathhouse row so we could walk to everything. we would stay there again.
“A great place for the girls to go to get away!”
Great place to stay. The balcony on the downtown side was an awesome bonus. The hotel restaurant was over priced and understaffed. We did the total relaxation spa package. The bath part was nice but my massage and facial was a waste of time and money. The therapist kept leaving the room and the treatments should have lasted an hour and it was just 45 min and about 10-15 min of that she was out of the room. Go to the Buckstaff instead and save some money.
“Great location, great price.”
I really enjoyed this hotel. Yes, it is older and definitely shows signs of wear but I found it charming. From this location I had an easy walk to Bathhouse Row to see the sights on foot. The staff was great and so was the food in the lobby restaurant. The few extra dollars to get a balcony overlooking Central Avenue was well woth it. I'd definitely go back.
“Pleasantly surprised”
We really enjoyed staying at the Springs. I had read other reviews before I went and wasn't really expecting much. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't the Ritz, but the rooms were comfortable, the staff friendly and the location was great. The hotel is located downtown where other things are going on. We found a great little club called The Ohio Club which had great food and entertainment. I will probably stay at the Springs again.
“Will go back next year”
The Springs was very convenient for our stay in Hot Springs. My friend and I made an appointment for a mineral bath and massage and enjoyed it immencely! The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable!
“What a DUMP!!!!”
PROS: Great location, good service at spa. CONS: Room was filthy. Stale french fries and empty candy wrappers on the floor. Huge burn holes in the bedskirt. Carpet seams unraveling across floor, carpet didn't even reach the wall near head of the bed - bare flooring showed through. Carpet was bunched up in other spots. Furniture was beat up and old. Plaster and paint put over the wallpaper to patch damage spots. Broken hanger on closet floor. This room looked like it had been the site of a frat party! Remodeled bathroom, but toilet looked like it was from a 1940's institution. Front desk staff could not move me to another room - apparently all rooms are pre-assigned and any movement would cause MASS CHAOS! Management wouldn't let me see another room for comparison. Management would not come to the room with me to inspect my complaints - sent a maintentance person who offered to cut the loose threads from the raveling carpet. Mold on the outside of the building and the scary parking lot are unsightly.
“good location”
It was located where we needed to be, so that was great. Parking was a little lacking 'in the location. Didn't want to leave the good parking spot you found early in the afternoon to not getting a good one when you came back. The balcony had a good view of the main street. It overlooked the pool, which looked fun with tables and lounge chairs. It was not a hot summer day so the air conditioning worked well. Didn't like that the toilet seats didn't have a seat cover. And the water pressure wasn't the strongest. Staff was friendly and helpful, at the desk, lounge and restaurant.
