“Awesome Condition of Hotel”
One of the worse hotels that I have ever stayed in. It use to be a YMCA, and the room looks like it still is. It has not been renovated. The rates that you are paying for this room are not worth it. Please avoid the mistake that I made.
“good location and good price”
very good location;either by walk or by transportation, because everything is very near by. this hotel is worth for the price that i paid.
“NIce”
Well located, good place to be
“A true 3 star hotel”
Cityview is a true 3 star hotel and exactly what you would expect. I got to stay in a room for 3 and found it pretty clean, quite roomy compared to other hotels in Hong Kong with a decent bed size - I have stayed in other proclaimed "4 star" hotels in Hong Kong and they they did not even compare to this. Biggest advantage was the location with the subway about a 2 minute walk away. Lots of places to eat and shops around as well Disadvantage was some of the staff. They can be quite rude but I guess it depends on your luck and who you encounter. Recommended if you are traveling in groups of 3 and get the room I got because Hong Kong accommodation is generally very expensive and this presents value for money. Neutral otherwise.
“Hardest beds, smallest rooms and very expensive”
We got the superior rooms and they were very small. I slept in 3 different hotels in China and Hong Kong and this room was by far the smallest and the most uncomfortable bed. Ugh. I may stay here again but I will definitely review my options and see if I can find something with a descent price and more comfortable. Most of the hotel employees that I interacted with spoke enough English to get by and that was acceptable. No wi-fi in the room so don't plan on using the iDevice if staying here.
“Not impressed”
Additional charge for internet access.
“Great Location”
This Hotel is clean and in a great location in Kowloon. The subway system is steps away and will easily take you to Hong Kong. The rooms are small to North American standards. But we only slept there. I would compare them to the size of a room on a normal cruise ship. The internet is not free.....so what. This was a great value for the area. Hong Kong would have cost much more. I will stay there again.
“My first choice of hotel in Hong Kong”
Good location and convenience are two of the main factors for me to consider when choosing a hotel in Hong Kong, and this hotel has both of them. The Cityview is located right in the middle of Kowloon. It is very close to MTR subway's Yau Ma Tei Station (2 minutes' walk from hotel), major bus lines leading to just about anywhere in Hong Kong, including the Cityflyer bus to Hong Kong International Airport. In a densely populated metropolis like Hong Kong, one wouldn't want to walk that extra block to get to the hotel, especially during the hot and humid summer months. This hotel is very clean, and the staff is courteous and very helpful. The hotel room is a little small but comfortable, but then the small size of the room is true for just about most hotels in Hong Kong. I would definitely go back to stay there again, and recommend it other travelers.
“Love the location. Will go back.”
This hotel is conveniently located close to a metro station and many eateries in the area. Mongkok is a very active district in Kowloon for shopping and eating-out. The rooms are small, as expected in Hong Kong, but big enough and clean for our needs. Beds are good size and comfortable. We stayed there for 9 nights and will definitely go back as long as they keep the rates competitive.
“More like a 2* hotel”
Stayed there for 10 nights base on previous expedia review. Did not replace toilet paper for 4 days. No towels and tissue paper for 3 days. Air-conditioning not working half the tome. Rooms very noisy even paying extra for a superior room
