“Tiny but totally adequate.”

The room was small but adequate. We had twin beds with a small space between them. It was clean and quiet. Being within walking distance of the subway made it very convenient for us to go into Hong Kong or out to the Big Buddha. Breakfast was not included but available at a reasonable price. We would stay here again

Area recommendations
Take a the a bus around Hong Kong. There is a very reasonable double decker bus service in front of the Star Ferry building in Hong Kong which allows you to get on and off all day for a low price. Also go to the Peak and take the ride to the Big Buddha.

“Great value hotel”

Besides the internet that was significantly unstable, the hotel is of very good standard with a very caring crew. I would go there again without doubt.

“Clean and comfortable”

The rooms were clean and the staff was helpful. Being unfamiliar with Hong Kong, we had some trouble finding the hotel - it's a bit of a walk from the MTR.

“Price is good for a small twin room. Size is OK for one person only under 180 lbs 5'10"”

Twin Room (Delux and standard) is about 90 sq ft toilet and shower is about 40 sq ft. Hard to move if you are over 180 lbs.

“satisfied”

beyond-expectation neatness and cleaness for a small room. room size is OK given that you are ready for Hongkong scale. Not as expected when taking MTR transportation cuz the hotel is a bit out of the popular range in town and MTR is soooo expensive; but it's not the hotel's fault I guess. Would pick the Dorsett Harborview location next time if it's available.

“Small, clean, safe and decent hotel.”

Room is small, but very nice, clean and cosy. About 15-min walking distance to Ladies Market and Mong Kok MTR station. Overall, a good experience. But I was told that Dorsett Seaview has similar rooms and rates, and a lot closer to the main shopping strip. I will try Dorsett Seaview the next time.

“Will book again in the future”

Nice hotel, rooms where abit small and abit dusty. It's Hong Kong so I can't really complain. The mini-fridge in the room is not that cold. Noisy during the day time due to industrial area. Walls are a bit thin, so you will near the room next to you during the night. Good hotel service and 10-15minutes walk to ladies street markets or just take the free hotel shuttle bus out there. Two 7/11 stores around each corner, a 24hours McDonalds and a very cheap laundry service located on Tai Kok Tsui Rd. Laundry service in the hotel is expensive. Very close to Olympic MTR station. Overall, it was a good stay and it's worth what you pay. You won't staying at the hotel all day anyways in a place in Hong Kong. Will book again in the future.

“Extremely worth the price”

Dorsett Kowloon isn't the greatest of hotels, but it's the top choice for those on a budget. The rooms are small, but comfortable. In my case, I spent most of my time traveling around Hong Kong and Kowloon and only used the hotel for internet and a place to sleep; and, in such a case, it was the perfect selection. Its proximity to Olympic and Mong Kok MTR stations is extremely helpful. While Mong Kok station may be further away, the 10 minute walk is a pleasant one. The 3 minute walk to Olympic station makes travel to and from the airport extremely convenient and provides a faster alternative route to HK Island (via the Tung Chung MTR line) when the more popular Tsuen Wan MTR line is at peak hours. Furthermore, the location of the hotel is great for those who would like to experience the Mong Kok street life. My only complaint would be the price of internet and outgoing calls. The internet is at a descent price if you are using it for many hours, but if you only need an hour or two you are better off finding a WiFi hotspot. For calls, you will get better rates for your money with a prepaid phone or HK sim card than using the hotel phone. I didn't eat in the Dorsett Kowloon café during my stay, so I cannot comment on that.

“Very good location - accessible to all public transportation.”

I was amazed about the convenience of accessibility of all public transportation around this hotel. 5-10 minutes walk to the MTR. the Train station going to China border (Lok Wu) and to the Airport train plus all the bus routes located on Nathan Road. On top of that, it's also located away from all the noisy traffic. I would definitely stay here again next time.
