“To be recommended”
I really enjoy my stay at the Regal Airport Hotel of Hong Kong as it is just from 5 minutes walking to Terminal 1. Besides, they have such great accomodoties with lots of restaurants nearby. If you still have time to spend on shopping, you may use the shuttle to go to Citygate Outlet shopping mall. The only inconvenient I may have found is the air conditionner. The room is quiet cold even if you switch to off. Otherwise, I will surely recommend this hotel to my neighboorhood. I will definitely come back somehow. Thank you.
“Really nice for an airport hotel”
We were very pleasantly surprised by the Regal Airport Hotel Hong Kong. Our room was a bit small, but it seemed new and was very comfortable. It was clear to us that Regal did put some thought into the room design and decor... very nice in-room bar, large flat screen TV and very impressive lights and temperature control... all from a digital bedside control. Although we did not have time to use it, the hotel has a large indoor/outdoor swimming pool and what seems to be a very good spa. If you need to stay by the airport in Hong Kong... this is the one!
“would stay there again”
Very convienient for the busy traveler. Nice lounges and good chow!!
“Great Airport Hotel”
First of all, you have to remember that this is an airport hotel. It is an extremely convenient hotel if you have a very short stay in Hong Kong, but it is really not in any neighborhood. In fact, you can just wheel your luggage cart into the hotel and back out again when you leave. Room was a nice size. I liked the love seat in front of the TV. Bathroom was very nice with toiletries. There are several restaurants inside the hotel itself; if you are not satisfied you can venture into the airport itself. I especially appreciated the Starbuck's just outside of the hotel entrance.
“Overpriced for quality of room”
I chose this hotel because of its airport location - I had to catch an early morning flight. When I stepped into the hotel lobby, I thought this was a grand hotel and worth the 5-star price that I paid for. However, the quality of the room is disappointing. The furniture is old, the bed is not much more than a mattress, and the bedding is extremely basic (I have not seen polyester blankets as the main bed covering in a long time). The room is not sound-proof – I was kept awake for much of the night because of noise from upstairs. I could not find any US style socket in the room to recharge my laptop or smart phone. This is not acceptable for a hotel attached to a major airport at the international cross-roads. Even basic hotels in mainland China have multi-use sockets that can accommodate US style power plugs for electronics. The only good thing about this hotel is its in-airport location.
“Would only go back if needed quick airport exchange.”
Hotel very antiquated, run down, and somewhat dirty feeleing.
“Regal Airport Hotel Hong Kong”
Everything was OK, except that the registration took a very long time and I had to stay in line for about 30 min. There is no other hotel near the aiport so there is no way not to recommend it.
“I would recommend”
Good room , good service , good location with the 1912 district straight across the road. Not far to train station and a multi bus stop right out the front . I'm happy we chose this hotel
“Noisy Room”
Due to very loud noises which sounded like clanging pipes and objects being dropped, we were unable to sleep as it sounded like maintenance was happening overhead. By 12.15am phoned reception they said they would send security!!!! Noise lessened around 2am, but we were awoken by same loud banging at 5.45. We were offered a very superficial apology when we raised the matter the next morning. This hotel has paper thin walls. Other than that, it has a large expansive lobby complete with waterfall, lounge bar and restaurants. It was attached to the airport, so within walking distance and the rooms were spacious and clean. We were however exhausted from lack of sleep - our main objective in booking this hotel as an overnight stopover.
“High standards and convenience for the frequent traveller”
The Regal Airport Hotel has the major advantages of convenience and high standards for the busy traveller, particularly those with late arrivals into or early flights out of Hong Kong, You do not get the Hong Kong experience, and I would not recommend the hotel as a base for those visiting Hong Kong. But for those who are effectively in transit, it is just what is needed.
